Until it happens to you and yours, most prefer to ignore the fact that cops have become police state jackbooted thugs.
My kids got their own taste of it last Spring. Big thug cops like to beat up girls apparently.

They are doing exactly what their master want them to.
We even have cheerleaders (with knee-pads) right here on FR...
All cops are now above the law and they know it. Their actions show they have no fear of the public and in fact want to instill fear in the public. At worst the guy will be sent home for a couple of weeks of paid vacation while his enablers judge him to be blameless. Then he is back out once more serving the public. We have allowed this with our vision of cops like Andy and Barney, well we aint in Mayberry anymore.
OK. I did not know that. Cross-thread discussions can get confusing. If he’s alarmed at FR becoming anti-JBT, he’s one of the last. The fact of the matter is, while cops have always placed themselves above the rest of us little people, they’ve been getting progressively more abusive to “civilians,” more insulated from the consequences of their actions.
Literally getting away with murder of those guilty of “Contempt of Cop.”
I sometimes miss the former/present cops that used to post here all the time, gleefully reminiscing at all the Maglite Migraines they’ve dispensed, how many clean citizens they’ve dirtied by filing bogus charges “just to teach the little s***s a lesson.” Disorderly Conduct was one of the favorites. Sure, they’d get charges thrown out in court after the little person spends a few thousand dollars, but fingerprints and now DNA are on record.
They laugh at us.
Yeah I used to tussle with the cops, ex cops a lot. They used to talk about “extra judicial punishment” while making arrests. They were proud of it and expected to be congratulated. I was of course horrified.
The cops deserve a bullet each to their heads, and their entrails fed to wild animals. These are the tyrants who will prepare the trains to the ovens when the time arrives.
Oh, and I forgot to mention. The fact that these cops thought they had found a home here at FreeRepublic says a whole lot about the previously powerful roll that the Law and Order Conservatives played in Republican politics.
Once upon a time, I lamented it when a cop got shot.
Now, I more often wonder what he or she did to deserve it.
I am convinced we need to disarm police in the U.S. like in Great Britain. Won’t stop stuff like this, but might take some of the intimidation factor away.
Not to sound like a smart A$$,but what is special needs about the woman who got punched?

Only way I can see that happening is if she spit on me. And video is not clear enough to see whether that happened.
