The Remarkable Story Of Irena Sendler…How She Didn’t Win A Nobel Prize Is Beyond Me

During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw ghetto, as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist. She had an ulterior motive.

Irena smuggled Jewish infants out in the bottom of the tool box she carried. She also carried a burlap sack in the back of her truck, for larger kids.

Irena kept a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto. The soldiers, of course, wanted nothing to do with the dog and the barking covered the kids/infants noises.

During her time of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants. Ultimately, she was caught, however, and the Nazi’s broke both of her legs and arms and beat her severely.

Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she had smuggled out, In a glass jar that she buried under a tree in her back yard. After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived and tried to reunite the family. Most had been gassed. Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes or adopted.

In 2007 Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize.

She was NOT selected.

Al Gore won, for a slide show on Global Warming.

Al Gore no doubt thought he deserved it more than she did.

He apparently got through his religion classes without hearing anything about humility. Maybe he was drinking a lot of iced tea even in those days.

How She Didn’t Win A Nobel Prize Is Beyond Me

Strike 1) She was Roman Catholic.

Strike 2) She saved babies.

Strike 3) She was anti-Communist.

But as far as finishing the course and winning the crown—as St. Paul described it—we could be talking about a home run here.

This video is called "Hitler gets mad at Al Gore's global warming hypocrisy," and in it, Hitler actually says that Irena Sendler deserved the Nobel prize instead of Al Gore:

Irena Sendler, Polish,Catholic, and anti-Communist.

“Roman Catholic Irena Sendler became one of the first “Righteous Gentiles” honored by the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial in Jerusalem for wartime heroics.”

FRANCISCO FRANCO, BENEFACTOR OF THE JEWS:

However general history may judge him, in Jewish history, he shall certainly occupy a special place... Jews should honor and bless the memory of this great benefactor of the Jewish people...who neither sought nor reaped any benefit from what he did.

—From a four page obituary in The American Sephardi Journal of the Sephardic Studies Program of Yeshiva University, volume IX, 1978.

James Michener in Iberia, 1968, page 547: “...Generalissimo Franco is highly regarded by Jews; during the worst days of World War II, when pressures from Hitler were at their heaviest, Franco refused to issue anti-Jewish edicts and instead provided a sanctuary, never violated, for Jews who managed to make it to Spain. Many thousands of Jews owe their lives to Franco, and this is not forgotten.”

In Resolutions of the War Emergency Conference of the World Jewish Congress, Atlantic City, New Jersey, November 26-30, 1944, page 15: “The War Emergency Conference extends its gratitude to the Holy See and to the Governments of Sweden, Switzerland, and Spain... for the protection they offered under difficult conditions to the persecuted Jews of Hungary...”

In the Congressional Record of January 24, 1950, Rep. Abraham Multer quotes a spokesman for the Joint Distribution Committee: “During the height of Hitler’s blood baths, upwards of 60,000 Jews had been saved by the generosity of Spanish authorities.”

Newsweek, March 2, 1970: “...a respected U.S. rabbi has come forward with surprising evidence that tens of thousands of Jews were saved from Nazi ovens by the personal intervention of an unlikely protector. Spain’s Generalissimo Franco. “I have absolute proof that Franco saved more than 60,000 Jews during World War II,” says Rabbi Chaim Lipscitz of Brooklyn’s Torah Vodaath and Mesitva rabbinical seminary.http://boards.msn.com/MSNBCboards/thread...

The Nobel Poop Prize has lost all value after it was awarded to Obama and Al Gore.

What a wonderful person. She represents the good in humanity.

And also it ruins the narrative that “Poles Drink Anti-Semitism with Their Mothers’ Milk”, that the anti-Polonists always try to say.

Some give so much it makes one weep merely to hear of it.

Most give so little it makes God weep to hear of it.

Catholic martyrdom was rich in examples of courage.

Catholic martyrdom was rich in examples of courage. When Msgr. Andrew Szeptyckyi was consecrated as Archbishop of Lwow of the Ruthenians, he asked the Pope during the ceremony, an explicit vocation for martyrdom. With that idea he approached Himmler personally on behalf of the Jews; their fate rent his noble spirit. There were many Catholics such as Oskar Schindler and SAINT MAXIMILIAN KOLBE who in brotherly love risked and even offered their own lives in behalf of the Jews.

With the invasion of Poland by Nazi Germany, Kolbe provided shelter to refugees from Greater Poland, including 2,000 Jews whom he hid from Nazi persecution in his friary in Niepokalanów.[15] On 17 February 1941, he was arrested by the German Gestapo and imprisoned in the Pawiak prison. On 28 May, he was transferred to Auschwitz as prisoner #16670.

At the end of July 1941, three prisoners disappeared from the camp, prompting SS-Hauptsturmführer Karl Fritzsch, the deputy camp commander, to pick 10 men to be starved to death in an underground bunker in order to deter further escape attempts. When one of the selected men, Franciszek Gajowniczek, cried out, “My wife! My children!”, Kolbe volunteered to take his place.

In his prison cell, Kolbe celebrated Mass each day and sang hymns with the prisoners. ] He led the other condemned men in song and prayer and encouraged them by telling them they would soon be with Mary in Heaven. Each time the guards checked on him, he was standing or kneeling in the middle of the cell and looking calmly at those who entered. After two weeks of dehydration and starvation, only Kolbe remained alive.

The guards wanted the bunker emptied and they gave Kolbe a lethal injection of carbolic acid. Some who were present at the injection say that he raised his left arm and calmly waited for the injection. His remains were cremated on 15 August 1941, the feast day of the Assumption of Mary.[

Franco will never be properly recognized as providing an island of sanity in western Europe during WWII. Even Mussolini thought Hitler’s anti-Semitism was absurd; he never rounded up Italy’s Jews (though the Germans did after they took over Italy).
