Gov. Cuomo has a message for conservative Republicans — you don’t belong in New York.
Cuomo said Friday that members of the GOP with “extreme” views are creating an identity crisis for their party and represent a bigger worry than Democrats such as himself.
“Their problem isn’t me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves,” the governor said on Albany’s The Capitol Pressroom radio show.
“Who are they? Right to life, pro-assault weapons, anti-gay — if that’s who they are, they have no place in the state of New York because that’s not who New Yorkers are.”
He added that moderate Republicans, such as those in the state Senate, “have a place in their state.”
Cuomo hammered Republican activists whose views he said were out of step with the majority of New Yorkers and said the party has to back moderates to have any hope of winning seats in this fall’s elections.
“You have a schism within the Republican Party,” Cuomo observed. “They’re searching to define their soul. That’s what’s going on . . . It’s a mirror of what’s going on in Washington.”(continued)

I’m trying to remember....some leader in Germany some years ago was saying that some group of people didn’t have a place in Germany and weren’t really Germans....they passed laws against that group and eventually they were deported to some places called “ghettoes” in Poland....I’m trying to remember what happened next??????

As if Conservatives really give a crap! Seems that today the liberal viewpoints continue to be politicized along with media help - what are you going to do? Seems nothing to me but we still wallow in our own demise... We do seem to enjoy complaining among ourselves though... Good luck with that!

If that is so (Hitler comparison) why the hell has that not galvanized the Conservatives to do something about it?

Freedom is only available for those that fight for it! This country (folks that care) seem to have forgotten that fact! The enemy is within and the fight must be engaged!
That is why November is so important..no matter what we hear them say in the media..we DO outnumber them..it just doesn’t seem that way since the Libs control the media and Hollywood..but we do outnumber them and in order to save this country we have to win in November and take back the senate that will be a huge step in the right direction
Ah yes, sure hope that the illegal vote does not become a problem! Yes, common sense should prevail but when dealing with Democrats and their methods, it takes a bit more than votes and hope... Just another attempt at correcting a major problem with the direction that this country is going...

He’s trying to do a Christie: Get some of us out of the state so he wins the governor’s race by a wider margin, smoothing his way to run for prez. If gun-rights people in NY State are energized, they will swarm the polls in November and vote Republican.
That he can insult the constitution-abiding in the process is just a bonus.

Tea party is active. Upstate is very conservative. And beautiful! They are not going to leave. They’ve been here for generations.
