Iím writing to correct the apparently widespread impression that itís OK to be a bigot in My name. This situation recently arose when that noted North American theologian Phil Robertson, the fella with the Me-like beard who whittles wood into things that quack, declared that, on the authority of his deeply held traditional Christian values, gay people are just awful. When he was punished for this by his employer, he found himself defended by many prominent conservatives, including Sarah Palin, who charged he was being censored by secularists for his religious beliefs ó all as part of a supposed War on Me.

One of the lamest things I’ve read all year. No wonder it got published in... Buenos Aires.
Gene Weingarten (born October 2, 1951 in New York) is a two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist known for both his serious and humorous work.
Weingarten is an atheist....
Oh, really, an atheist. And I can count on his keen insight into scripture. He must have been ghost writing for Allah.
libtard thinking their blasphemy is so cool.
Liberals have mastered the art of being clever and stupid at the same time.
Phil didn’t say that gays were awful.
He has also had a humor page in the Washington Post Magazine section.
Trying to offend but instead he exposes his depravity and his spritual ownership by satan.
Praying for him.
I don’t know. Last I heard their insane queen president had been missing for months.
Then the message isn't from the God of the Bible, but instead a liar.
“declared that, on the authority of his deeply held traditional Christian values, gay people are just awful.”
From ANY moral perspective, doing what gay men do with each other is simply sick. They should seek help, not embrace the sickness.
To whoever wrote this:
If you want to live by the laws of the old testament of the Bible no one’s stopping you. But if you want to condemn Christians with them, who have been washed in the Blood of Christ, to justify an abomination of sin, then you know nothing of Jesus and I feel sorry for you.
Since when is Miss Weingarten, the scribbler of these words, “God”?
It’s not just lame-it stupid written by someone who has no idea as to what he’s talking about.
Gene, good to see you got religion, at least for a few minutes, to bash people you don’t agree with.
Nothing so sorry as ignorance trying to teach....
You read tripe like this, and you recall that God truly wants everyone to come to Him, and be with Him, and live in Love.
But a worm who spreads this kind of “thinking” does indeed do harm against God’s will, while (and this is the important part) writing as if he knows Gods way and words. So it causes me to have, well, a very human reaction.
My immediate reaction is to wonder what it will be like when the writer faces the Lord to answer for a life filled with things like this. I cannot know God’s words then, but can only imagine it will be... tough.
About one nanosecond after he croaks, Gene will no longer be an atheist. But by then it’ll be too late.
GOD shall NOT be mocked. The author of this blasphemy will one day find out that GOD is a jealous and vengeful GOD. HIS love is unlimited... so is HIS anger.
He will BELIEVE one day... that is a fact.
Pray for him... yes... but lend him no credence.
Let’s see ... A pud-puffer speaking for God using slang and theologically unsound gibberish versus Phil Robertson quoting God using the Bible’s own language ...
I know which one I believe.
But he didn’t say they were wonderful. By liberal interpretation, if you don’t praise something liberals love, you have condemned it, and you are a HATER, HATER, HATER!!!
This was originally published 2 days ago in (gasp) the Washington Post .... just reprinted in Buenos Aries.
Although you may not leave a comment in the B.A. reprint, you MAY respond to Weingarten in the Washington Post article:
Why not let the mongrel know what you think of his hate for God ... ?
I’m a bigot too. I discriminate on behavior everytime. But I don’t care about skin color, nose length or what hangs or doesn’t between the legs.
Let him go ahead and mock, and congratulate himself on his razor-sharp wit. /s One day he’ll be reminded of every word.
And what’s with the “disfavour” stuff? What American spells it that way?
Suspect ol’ Gene likes to pack the fudge once in a while.
