The GOP must steer clear of guest-worker programs and legalization without citizenship.
Two of the basic rules of democratic politics are: Don’t hurt your allies, and don’t give your electoral opponents a weapon to use against you. As House Republican leaders prepare to announce their immigration principles near the end of this month, they should be aware of both rules. Two policies they are considering endorsing — legalization without citizenship and a massive increase in guest-worker visas — could sabotage the GOP’s standing with its base while also closing off future electoral roads.
Legalization without citizenship would split the base and offer few political dividends with the center. The driving force behind many Republicans’ skepticism about an immigration deal is not a fear that illegal immigrants will be granted citizenship; it is a worry that legalization will be traded for empty promises of enforcement. Legalization without citizenship, then, may be too clever by half: It sounds like an equitable splitting of the difference, but it misses the real point of concern for many Americans.

Sen. Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) has introduced an amendment to the unemployment extension bill currently being considered in the Senate that would add up to 50,000 new green cards per year with no offsets….
Also, Obama WILL NOT enforce any provision of the law he thinks is "unfair".
How stupid can they be?
All during this push for Amnesty politicians have promised “strict enforcement” in some new law, yet each and every day they undermine existing law. Today, yesterday, the day before, and tomorrow, they will not enforce existing law. How can anyone have any confidence in some promised “strict enforcement” in the future?
Politicians have no credibility whatsoever.
Confidence building measures are required.
1) End enticements: no tuition discounts, no driver licenses, etc.
2) Enforce existing law: deport illegals on contact with police
These things must be done to build any confidence that any future law will be enforced.
Until enticements are ended and existing law is enforced any talk of “immigration reform” is DOA.
Interesting that the LA times did this.. Lou Dobbs reported this on CNN and it cost him his job. The only network we would see this on would be FOX.. All the others are staying away from it. Whether you are a Democrat or Republican this should be of great interest to you!

7... The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.
8 Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.
9. 21 radio stations in L. A. are Spanish speaking.
10. In L.. A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish.. (There are 10.2 million people in L. A. County .)

Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare. Over 70% of the United States ‘ annual population growth(and over 90% of California , Florida , and New York ) results from immigration. 29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens .
We are fools for letting this continue .

I've taken the figures from the above table at cis.org and graphed them.
Note the sharp increase in immigration from Mexico and how that differs from all other regions' increase. Note also the sharp decline in immigration from Europe while all other regions have increased.
Roughly 63% of illegals are Mexican.

These two don't sound like they would endear GOP to many (or any) Hispanics, but I am still curious what the Dems reaction would be to that.
BTW : my house member is Cummings and Senators are Mukulski and Cardin, so there is no point calling them.
You could call and ask Cummings how Amnesty will provide jobs for his numerous African American constituents who have been pulverized by the Obama Economy.
Its a thought. My experience with these calls is you never get anyone who admits to knowing anything, its always 'I will pass on the message'. So with someone like Cummings you know he wants more unemployment.
Of course you were probably the first to know that O Malley started giving illegals drivers licenses and in state tuition discount rates.
Look, serious talk here. This is what I think is actually going on:
The leaders of the United States, all of them, know that the show stops soon. The US will start defaulting and collapsing, like the Soviet Union did... and for many of the same reasons!
So, when those in power see these hard facts, when the globalist cabal says to them, “We will make you rich if you do our bidding,” they think, “Well why not? It’s not like America will be around much longer anyways.”
Thus, comes Amnesty.
Amnesty and Citizenship for Barbarians killed Rome, too.
Actually a much better approach is to call Dems like Cummings and demand that they reject any bill without full US citizenship and the vote, and add fixing the VRA too so the don’t have to show voter IDs.(just to pile on)
In other words hit them from the left.
calling them with Republican arguments is like talking to a busy signal.
I know you wont hear that on talk radio or from many here.

Conservatives will not change their minds about the constitution.
