Morning Joe takes turn for worse as liberal advocate Thomas Roberts becomes regular panel member. Ping to Today show list.

So. They now collectively decide that they have jumped the gun and have been erroneously to take Christie out even before he gets the GOP nomination. They were too eager in their zeal and need to regroup now. This is part of it.

I’m glad that a few people watch shows like this so I can get my daily reminders of why I don’t.

As bad/sad as this is, I surfed onto CNN at least a dozen times over the weekend, and the only news story I saw being discussed was "bridge-gate."
If one didn't know better, you'd swear Christie personally blew up the bridge and dropped thousands and thousands of cars into the Hudson River.
Sickening.

One common gripe in Hoboken was that FEMA wasn’t covering the huge numbers of illegal basement apartments there. Many were flooded, but they didn’t officially exist for property tax purposes; you reap what you sow...

Mark..any info or thoughts on the supposed scandal involving Joe accepting big fees to deliver speeches when that’s against NBC policy?

MSNBC is keeping mum on it. I’m guessing they are negotiating with Joe and will announce a resolution.

So, you think they’re (the MSM)backing away a little in order to keep Christie in the game? That’s sounds just like them. Too bad republicans let the media pick their candidate.

It’s the old story of the turtle and the scorpion, both at the bank of a river.
The turtle, frightened at the prospect of being attacked by the scorpion, says “we both want to cross the river - I’ll give you a ride on my back if you promise not to sting me.”
The scorpion agrees, and in the midst of crossing the river, stings the turtle while atop its back.
The turtle asks “Why? We’ll both drown now.”
The scorpion replies, “I just couldn’t help myself.”

CNN made it sound like they were still pumping water out of the streets when this was supposed to have happened -- not more than 6 months later. (By this time the shore towns had their boardwalks mostly rebuilt and they were putting out potted palm trees to spend Sandy cash.)
From the NY Post: "Zimmer requested $127 million for Hoboken but said she only received $200,000 in recovery grants, plus $142,000 for a backup generator. The state had about $300 million to disburse statewide."
She is mayor of a city that has a population of 50K and has a little more than 1 square mile of land area, she expected to receive 42% of the money available statewide? Seriously?
(She says she received $342,000 but the governor's office responded that she received (at least) $70 million. I'm sure they can find the canceled checks.)
As Rudy Giuliani said yesterday -- this is a witch hunt.

Sickening It is very sickening.
How many IL governors went to jail and how many national headlines did that get?
Christie is leader of the GOP Governors' association; thus he must be destroyed. Especially when they need to get Obamacare out of the headlines.
