Immigration bill threatens King’s dream for America (Amnesty punishes jobless Black Americans)
News Journal ^ | 1/20/13 | JOE GUZZARDI

The Congressional Black Caucus doesn’t share Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream for African-Americans. Fifty-one years ago, King outlined his hopes: that black as well and white men would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. King despaired that blacks were exiled in their own American land and too often denied advancement opportunities.

The CBC has a different objective that would be extremely disappointing to Dr. King. One of the most powerful congressional caucuses has thrown its imposing weight behind comprehensive immigration reform, legislation that would expand the labor pool and thereby hurt unemployed black and Hispanic Americans more than any other demographic.

-snip-

Fudge, writing on the CBC’s behalf, also stated unequivocally that it “unanimously supports” reform and “in particular,” amnesty for millions of illegal aliens living in the U.S. today. Fudge’s message seems clear: unemployed illegal immigrants who are black, Hispanic or Asian have the CBC’s support. But native-born black, Hispanic or Asian-Americans do not.

Amnesty tells me what the fools on The Hill REALLY think about Americans. We’re nothing. It’s the foreign nationals that the politicians really represent in Washington. Amnesty may be the politicians’ number one priority. To Americans, it isn’t even on the list.

Actually civil rights advocates support unlimited immigration because they don’t understand economics, just like the American sheeple as a whole.

On second thought that’s not a bad argument to use on Cummings too. I can cite all those unemployed.

Yes, but the American people lack the intelligence to understand your point.

Many employers have displaced hard working American citizens with illegal alien labor to cut costs. Do they think that making them instant citizens will keep their labor costs down?

This amnesty round will be looked back upon as an attack on blacks by Boehner Republicans.

The GOP Cave In on the amnesty for illegal alien invaders from Mexico bill to Devil Obama avoids having to enforce existing Federal Border Laws.

The GOP Establishment will always avoid any conflict with their betters, - - - the Democrat Politicians.

Boehner is dedicated to giving aid and comfort to the illegal alien invaders from Mexico, and America is the worse for it.

If politicians stand for nothing then they will fall for anything.

To make a difference, you have to have a difference.

Is Boehner resisting or running with the Devil Obama?

Blacks have no negotiating power in the political arena.

Democrats can make their water all over the blacks knowing they will still get 95% of the black vote.
(The other 5% just marked the wrong box on the ballot)

So democrats will push amnesty even if it is detrimental to blacks.

And most republicans know it is a waste of time and money to campaign for the black vote because the blacks will still stay on the democrat plantation.

It is true. His dream was a just one. In fact, LBJ and every succeeding President since his demise has committed this country to a whole host of punitive measures against whites in order to exact this equality.

The War on Poverty, the Great Society, ad nauseam were/are all dedicated to correct past wrongs and to bring about the correction.

We are now faced with a system of correction that has not only drawn in the black population into the collective entitlement fold, but also a whopping throng of white and other Americans, too. Because of their 'system' they have created a fatherless society; one which idolizes EBT, working the system, not working at 'working', and a general malaise against pulling one's own weight. Frankly, I don't want to hear anything about MLK any more. We have done enough.

Don't worry, there will be a new crop of illegals to replace the legalized illegals.

Not true. 8% of us are solid conservative patriots, and always have been.

Thanks for your response to my post.
My parenthetical comment was made in jest - but just barely.
I know there are many solid, responsible black republicans and/or conservatives. I wish there were a lot more.

But the fact remains that 95% of black voters went for Obama in 2008 and 93% in 2012.

When republicans and democrats both know that 9 out of 10 blacks will vote democrat it reduces to almost nothing any real political clout the so-called 'black community' may otherwise wield.

Democrats make promises but don't do anything significant to help blacks if it would endanger their lock on the black vote.

Republicans get laughed at by most blacks and white liberals every time they dare make an overture to that same 'black community'.

So, as a voting bloc, the reliability of blacks as supporters of democrats negates any advantage they might enjoy due to their unity and numbers.

Simply put, the majority of blacks are such a sure thing for democrats that no real courting is required.
