People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is no stranger to controversy. Past tactics by the group include nearly nude billboards to protest fur, campaigns comparing farming practices to the Holocaust, and demanding that fish be referred to as "sea kittens."
Now, PETA has once again stirred the pot, tweeting today about honoring Martin Luther King, Jr. and "the plight of animals who are tortured, abused & neglected."
PETA also released a webpage superimposing King's quotes over pictures of animals.
This is basically par for the course for an organization that euthanizes nearly 90 percent of animals in its care while simultaneously purporting to care for their welfare. This is trivializing his record. King had much larger problems to deal with than sad chickens and elephants in the circushe was fighting for basic human rights for all.
For what it's worth, here's a picture of King eating some sort of meat dish with his family after learning he won the Nobel Peace Prize. I'm guessing PETA wouldn't be too thrilled with this.
If so, shouldn't PETA members be OK with eating eggs?
Do roosters cheat on their hens?
Mitt pasted himself and his father marching with MLK.
Vegans are even against the consumption of honey because it “exploits” the bees.

Obama credits Selma march for his existence
Posted on Thursday, March 27, 2008
A year ago, Barack Obama addressed a group in Selma, AL commemorating the 1965 voting rights march. He credited the event with giving his parents the idea that they could have a child. The result was him—Barack Obama, Child of Destiny. The only problem is he was born in 1961.
“What happened in Selma, Alabama and Birmingham also stirred the conscience of the nation...This young man named Barack Obama...came over to this country. He met this woman...(who) had a good idea there was some craziness going on because they looked at each other and they decided...it might...be possible for us to get together and have a child. There was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Alabama... So they got together and Barack Obama Jr. was born. So don’t tell me I don’t have a claim on Selma, Alabama. Don’t tell me I’m not coming home to Selma, Alabama.
The lying bastard.
I’ve posted on that a few times, it is one of the most amazing statements ever made by a major figure.
and Hillary was named after...
it goes on and on
leftists even lie about things it makes no sense to lie about

It’s embarrassing to have him as a president.
Hillary’s “Ah Ain’t No Ways Tired!” speech was in Selma.
It’s shameless.
Stalinists lie. Always.
heh
I wonder if she is in no ways tarred now??
It is shameless but I think it also shows how ignorant and poorly educated he is.
Obama isn’t a knowledgeable, or a thinking man, and he isn’t much interested in anything outside of his own life.
He didn’t grow up in the continental United States. He was raised abroad in his formative years by anti-American parents. He has no connection to the common man.
He associated to perpetually p!ssed off marxist professors in college and distanced himself from white peers so he could claim to be “down with the struggle” (a struggle he didn’t personally experience).
His Selma remark was a “me too” moment.
Kind of ironic, eh.
Animals are Good.
People are Evil.
Oops, people ARE evil. But still, that’s not the end of the story. PETA is evil too!
It takes a good God to solve the conundrum. Otherwise we just have Evil Humans A fighting Evil Humans B and there is no peace.
No Bacon, No Peace!
No Bacon, No Peace!
No Bacon, No Peace!
