Report: Wendy Davis' life story more complicated than compelling narrative (CNN/Pravda reports)
CNN ^ | 1/20/2014 | Ashley Killough

Posted on 01/21/2014 6:59:21 AM PST by Qbert

(CNN) - Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis admitted in an interview with the Dallas Morning News that she hasn't been totally accurate about her life's story, a compelling narrative she has used to appeal to voters in Texas and bolster her national profile.

"My language should be tighter," the Democratic state senator said. "I'm learning about using broader, looser language. I need to be more focused on the detail."

After her marathon filibuster against proposed abortion laws in the Texas legislature last summer, Davis was propelled to the national stage. The attention gave her the support and encouragement to announce a bid for governor in October.

She frequently shared her biography both before and after she started running for governor, saying she was a single mother by the age of 19 and lived in a trailer with her young daughter. From there, she eventually put herself through community college, Texas Christian University, and Harvard Law School with the help of scholarship and loans.

The Morning News, however, reported over the weekend that Davis became a single mother at 21, not 19, when she got divorced from her then-husband, who was directed to pay child support.

"She lived only a few months in the family mobile home while separated from her husband before moving into an apartment with her daughter," writes Wayne Slater, the paper's senior political writer.

Davis' campaign released a statement later Monday to clarify some of the details from her life.

"Report: Wendy Davis' life story more complicated than compelling narrative"

See, Wendy Davis didn't really "lie" in federal testimony... it's just you dolts don't understand how "complicated" the facts are in her compelling fictional narrative...

“My language should be tighter,” the Democratic state senator said. “I’m learning about using broader, looser language. I need to be more focused on the detail.”

That bit right there tells you everything you need to know about her.

In other words she's learning to lie in a more convincing manner or to change the subject when she can't answer.

Wendy Davis is a typical Liberal. Phony. Dishonest. Lacking in any Moral Character what-so-ever. Unprincipled.

These character short-comings permeate the democRAT party, throughout.

I defy anybody to provide evidence to the contrary.

Want to know the real Wendy, check out the conditions she had to meet for visitation with the kids. Seems odd for a woman to lose custody of the kids and pay alimony.

Exploitative, self involved and uses lying as a go to strategy for succeeding in life. Do we really need another lawyer like that in political office?

“Girl Scouts Promote ‘Incredible’ Wendy Davis on ‘Women of Year’ List”

This is so sad. I noticed last year that the GS selling cookies outside of Krogers were not the usual, aggressive kids they had been in the past.(I’m guessing they were told to cool it since their association with Planned Parenthood). This year I see signs in yards—”It’s Girl Scout cookie time) I guess if one really wanted to buy cookies, one would now have to go to the designated house now that the GS leadership have taken it upon themselves to put the girls in the middle of abortion controversies.

Methinks us conservatives accidentally took the bait.

By giving any scrutiny to Miss Davis, we are legitimizing her, as well as validating the "War on women" meme that, while counterintuitive, has proven itself to be very effective on peeling women voters away from the right.

The best "strategery" is just to stick to the issues and let her general ignorance finish her off in the general.

Remember what happened to Clayton Williams, one screw up got us "Ma" Richards.

Typical leftist playing loose with the truth. But if her Republican opponent is wise he’ll leave it alone, as much as possible. Americans foolishly believe that a person can be a good public servant while showing “poor judgment” in their private affairs.

Not only did she lie, she doesn’t even see it as such. In her mind she just used language improperly as it relates to her goal of achieving power and status. She is utterly amoral. Sort of reminds me of the woman that Petraeus had the affair with, or the chick that got killed in Presumed Innocent.

Yes, we have lost more important elections in recent years due to “intemperate” remarks by candidates who should have been vetted better. It’s one thing for a guy like Akin to get continually re-elected in some jerkwater House district in MO where there are enough “like minded” people to guarantee his election, but when you move to a state-wide position, these people are thrown into an “environment” where there are a lot more “mainstream thinking” people who, despite the mantle of conservatism, won’t vote for them, because of their “kooky” ideas.

There’s nothing better than a story about someone who’s worked their way to success. But, it seems this woman has stretched her story quite a bit...

To be fair, though, the fact that she was officially divorced at 21 doesn’t mean she wasn’t already separated and raising her child alone at 19.

Still, the rest of her story - with her second husband supporting her through college, then his filing for divorce based on her committing adultery, etc. - doesn’t quite fit well with her narrative of the “single mom who struggled to make it...”

She gave up custody of her children becuase she cared more about her career than her children.

"Why does the Democratic Party love selfish women so much? ...Me first attitude. That’s what the Democratic Party is all about."

Long story short, they're Marxists. To them, motherhood is merely a fictional "concept" dreamed up by "privileged white males" to burden women and prevent them from achieving economic equality, the same way that white males supposedly intentionally seek to harm the poor and non-whites, yadda yadda. (Sure there may be "cosmetic" differences between men and women, but that's about it in their eyes.).

All one can do in this "system" is to reject reality entirely and to throw a loud, self-centered temper tantrum against nature...
