Democrats celebrate MLK Day by attacking black people
Best Of Cain ^ | January 19, 2014 | Herman Cain

And if it's war they want . . .

So how do Democrats celebrate Martin Luther King Day this year? By attacking black people!

Many of you are familiar with my friend Niger Innis, who is widely recognized as the voice of the Congress of Racial Equality and is currently running for Congress in Nevada’s Fourth Congressional District.

Niger is one of those strange characters who drive liberals crazy – a black conservative. And to judge from their current assault on Niger and other black conservatives with whom he is associated – including me – it is clear that they believe the black conservative is a figure so beneath contempt that it is virtually impossible to go too far in attacking any or all of us.

A press release distributed on Friday by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee lambastes Niger as radical, out-of-touch, extreme and all that sort of typical nonsense. I especially like how the people who passed ObamaCare and have run up more than $7 trillion in new debt over the past five years accuse Niger of having “controversial views.”

I suppose that when conventional wisdom backs insanity, common sense becomes “controversial.” Let’s have more controversy.

But they don’t stop there. In their attempt to smear Niger, the Democrats engage in shameful guilt-by-association by connecting him to two people with whom there is no reason not to be proud of associating. And I know because I’m one of them.

The other is Dr. Ben Carson, and we’ll deal with him first. The Democrats attack Niger for agreeing with Dr. Carson when he said “white liberals are the most racist people out there.” That statement is the truth, and I am glad the DCCC called the public’s attention to it by bringing it up.

But having implied that Dr. Carson is an unworthy human being by virtue of having made this statement, they then go on to imply that Niger is some sort of extremist for saying the following on Sean Hannity’s show: “I think Ben Carson is a hero. He is a wonderful role model. He's a credit to the race, the human race. He’s an outstanding individual.”

Dr. Carson is all of this and more. He overcame long odds as a young person to become a neurosurgeon and broke major ground on the matter of separating twins who are born conjoined at the head. You would think Democrats would recognize the virtue in such a man even if he is not their political ally, especially considering what a fine role model this represents for young black people. But Democrats see nothing but politics in everything, so they not only attack Dr. Carson but imply that anyone who praises him is some sort of extremist.

And that brings us to me. In the press release, Tyrone Gayle of the DCCC says “it’s hard to envision Innis bringing commonsense solutions to the table” because he is – get this – a “Herman Cain acolyte.” First of all, Niger Innis is no one’s “acolyte.” He is a highly intelligent man who thinks for himself and knows what he believes. But he is a friend and he and I have supported each other and continue to do so. So why, DCCC, would his association with me suggest that his ability to offer good ideas is unimaginable?

Oh right, because this is the perfect opportunity for Democrats to recycle lies about my personal life. I’ve already demonstrated that the allegations made against me were lies. We don’t need to go back through that again, but you can click the link if you haven’t already read it.

The DCCC doesn’t care, though. Once someone has been accused of something, especially a black conservative, that’s good enough for them. From that point forward that person is “discredited” and anyone connected to that person can be tarred via the same insinuation.

By the way, if you’re going to have haters, it’s nice to have haters as clumsy as the DCCC. In their tirade against Niger, they mess up and expose the truth, mentioning that he “stated Cain was the victim of racist stereotyping” concerning the lies told about my personal life.

Niger was right. I was. It is a racist stereotype that the black man is some sort of sexual predator, and they were and are happy to see it perpetuated at my expense – even though it’s a total lie – if it means they can label a black conservative who threatens them as “discredited.”

By the way, that will come as news to the 4 million people who listen to The Herman Cain Show and the 4.5 million people who read commentary last month at HermanCain.com. The only thing discredited about me is the slander with which Democrats and a few frightened Republicans attempted to take me down. I did not become president but at the moment I would wager that I’m more influential than Barack Obama.

“If you like your plan, you can keep your plan.” Now that’s how you discredit yourself.

Democrats will never stop playing this tired game as long as they think it’s working. They decided long ago that black people are duty-bound to support them and have no business acting or thinking for themselves. Black conservatives are a threat to them because without the black community supporting them in every election to the tune of 90 percent or better, they cannot win.

So people like Niger Innis, Dr. Ben Carson and me must be attacked and taken down. A successful businessman who is happily married must be “discredited” as some sort of fool and sexual predator. A groundbreaking neurosurgeon must be tarred as a poor role model. And a man who proudly proclaims his association with both of us, while exposing the Democrats’ horrendous policies for what they are, must be portrayed as a wild-eyed extremist as a result.

You want war, Democrats? You got it. Keep attacking us, because truth is on our side. While you can keep trying to make insinuations about the kind of people we are, there is no need for us to make insinuations about what you’ve done to this country. Health care is collapsing, jobs are disappearing, debt is soaring.

Those are facts that everyone can see, and the most damning thing we can say about you is that you’d rather attack us than stop any of the insanity by which you’ve made it all happen.

What a difference between Dr Martin Luther King and that arrogant, lacy, lying pos occupant of the Spite House

He would have been my first choice in the 2012 election. Unfortunately I could not even vote for him in our primaries in February of 2012

Thanks Kaslin for the heads up. The wikipedia entry mentions him as a potential candidate for the House of Reps.

I was reading more about him and he is the son of Roy Innis who was also the head of CORE for many years. Here he is arguing with Al Sharptongue in the 90’s and they got into a shoving match. It’s hilarious!

Niger Innis will definitely go places. He’s so articulate, he could make mincemeat out of Obama/Pelosi/Reid in a debate.

I’m convinced the only way the fiscally conservative & non-racist viewpoint can win is if we have a likeable/articulate black candidate.

Americans are such neo-racists, they won’t vote for a white president - primarily because it’s “wrong” skin color and especially if he looks handsome/successful (e.g. Romney).

Niger Innis is the perfect candidate, IMO. It will be fun to watch him rabble-rouse in the House. That will give him a year and a half to gain recognition before making a run for Presidency! He along with Ben Carson as VP because Niger Innis is more of an alpha-male than Ben.

I didn’t hear a single speaker Monday even mention the man who made King Day possible, a fellow named Ronald W. Reagan! Reagan was so easily fooled by his advisors that they told him to sign the King Day bill, and Republicans would win over the black vote.

About the same as the republican party...
Without a Civil War “we’re” screwed.. (federally)..
Critical mass has been reached more getters than givers..

The public schools have “educated” functional morons for too long..
Few even know what the words communist or even socialist actually means.. or capitalist for that matter...
AND if they did they could care less..

I doubt very much that Reagan was so stupid that he thought the Republicans would "win over the Black vote" through the mere act of signing into law a holiday. I also doubt that any advisors "told" him something so patently ridiculous.

Always refer to the DemonRATs as communists and socialists.

NEVER use the word capitalism. It is an invention of the thieving pig Marx.

Use “FREE MARKET” instead.

I agree. I doubt Reagan's reasons for signing legislation to make MLK Jr. Day into a holiday was because he thought he would win over the black vote. More likely, it was because the bill passed 338-90 there would have been political fallout ("Reagan's a racist!!" BS from the RATs) if he had vetoed the bill.

Though it would probably made more sense if they had created "Civil Rights Day" to honor EVERYONE who fought for civil rights, and not made it about one individual. A good case can be made that Rosa Parks was an ordinary citizen whose bold action sparked the civil rights struggle anyway, and that King was just in the right place and time to (reluctantly) help make it a reality. The only downside to that is if we had created "Civil Rights Day" in 1986, the moonbats would probably be hijacking the holiday now and using it to celebrating gay rights (knowing they could slap blacks in the face who fought for REAL civil rights, and face no consequences for it)

Interesting enough, John McCain was one of those who voted against making MLK Jr. Day into a national holiday.

As I noted on another thread, it is pretty ridiculous that the mixed message that our side is sending with some conservatives wanting to pretend that MLK Jr. was a "card-carrying Republican" and staunch conservative, while other conservatives are still trying to claim he was an insidious far left wing anti-American communist traitor. King, like many people in history, was an example of shades of gray. Its unfortunate nobody can acknowledge that simple fact.
