Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis is under fire for apparently misstating facts about her life story, with a Republican opponent claiming the discrepancies raise questions about her honesty.
Davis, a Democratic state senator who rose to prominence last year after delivering a lengthy filibuster against abortion restrictions, was the subject of a Dallas Morning News piece on Sunday that took issue with several details in her personal narrative.

Sounds like a good match -- Burger King and Wendy Davis...
They were not fuzzy, they were lies
discrepancies? fuzzy? ...sheesh, she’s a liar. Why the need to tap-dance around it.
Running the 0bama playbook.
Wendy Davis, in current the Vanguard of the ‘Rat “War on Kids”.
I'm getting tired of the media not making this distinction.
The Girl Scouts organization voted Wendy “abortion Barbie” Davis their person of the year. That was great, now people who have daughters trying to sell girl scout cookies will have to explain why they promote Abortion Barbie!
One coworker of mine was at the local grocery store where the girl scouts were selling cookies. She politely told the young girl no thank you, but then directed her response to the girls mother. Abortion Barbie woman of the year huh? Not going to sell cookies with that kind of marketing. The mom said she had been hearing that a lot in their quest to sell cookies....
Not very popular here in Texas.
Abortion Barbie is a fraud. Do tell.
To be fair, a divorce is not immediate. She probably was raising her child alone at age 19 while living in the trailer. Then the divorce might’ve become official when she was 21.
But, what about the next husband supporting her through Harvard, then the divorce timing conveniently with the last payment, etc...? Of course, that wouldn’t make a good “worked-my-way-out-of-poverty” campaign story.
If only folks would have been as worried about a certain presidents life facts.
got to remember, lying, distortion and half truths don’t mean a damned thing the hardcore left that will support her. So the reps need to win the hearts and minds of the fence walkers, hopefully they believe that character still matters.
Expect the same from her side when they go after the theoretical front runner for the Republicans.
Dan Ratherbiased can explain...
A Democrat and a liar.
Perfect fit for a Liberal.
Doesn’t seem to matter. lie-a-hontas in MA won despite being a proven fraud and a liar...
Hopefully the voters in TX take integrity and honesty a bit more seriously.
Maybe a re branding to "Gold Digger Abortion Barbie" will work.
Turning over custody of her kids to her ex-husband (who wasn’t even the father of one of them) so she could go off to Harvard Law School and her radical pro-abortion politics reveal this harpy’s true feelings about how important children are: not very.
“fuzzy details”???? Heck my momma called those things LIES
Wendy Davis was a registered “Republican”.
While serving on Fort Worth City Council, Davis voted in the Republican Party primaries. Davis has said she was Republican because she liked Republican Congresswoman Kay Granger and she wanted to vote on judicial nominees in Republican primaries. She voted in the Republican primaries in 1996, 1998 and 2006 and she has given $1,500 to Granger
What? No ham?
Their hamburgers contained horse meat?
What, instead of ham?
There's no need to repeat yourself...
We are just going to have to have a contest to see who can come up with the saddest Democrat childhood story. I’ll start......
I was born a poor black child on an Indian Reservation in Louisiana to two homosexual male parents. Bruce and Gary, my parents, gave me a puppy named Spot for my fifth birthday, but it was actually a potato because the Republicans had eaten all the dogs. Then, they ate Gary and Bruce, leaving me an orphan with a potato dog. I had gender identification problems. I didn’t know if I was a boy or a girl or a trial lawyer. The other children teased me calling me an “Ambulance Chasing Potato Dog Boy”. But, I worked hard at school and earned a scholarship to Harvard based on their diversity quota that required them to have at least one student with a potato dog. I became the editor of the Harvard Law Review and graduated Au Gratin.
I wouldn’t bet on it. There aren’t any people interested in honesty and integrity in Texas major metro areas.
She was born on a mountaintop in Tennessee and killed a bar when she was only three... Wendy, Wendy Davis Queen of Planned Parenthood.
Let’s see. Demokkkrat. Dishonest. Sounds redundant to me. What’s next? She’s a natural blonde? Willingly gave up the kids. I guess that’s kind of like a REAL LATE term abortion. Wouldn’t want some pesky kids interfering with her lofty “ass”pirations.
I was listening to KLBJ today (as always) and they reported that abortion Barbie is now dating Kurt Spelman (may be Spilman) a former Austin Mayor.
Really? I don't need anything at the grocery store, but noticed the girl scouts there this afternoon after I left the bank. For some reason, they had a half day school today.
We ran out of vinegar the other day, so I may go buy some just to tick off the scouts and their moms when they ask me to buy cookies.
Well, I wasn’t planning to vote for her ..were you?
No, the last name was something like Spelman.
Not just no, but HELL NO.
Actually, I think he was a councilman, not a former mayor. I think he ran for mayor in Austin and was defeated.
Yeah, I was like did I somehow sleep through a mayor? Wouldn’t be hard to do...
Sorry, with Austin being transformed into such a liberal place, I could not resist...
I knew an elderly man who raised cattle all his life and didn't eat beef... everybody in our small town knew it.
When he ordered a hamburger in a local café the waitress said, "You don't eat beef."
He said, "I didn't order a beef burger, I ordered a ham burger." So...
They fried a piece of ham and put it on a hamburger bun and made him a hamburger. He was happy.
Small town when people knew and took care of each other... it really happened.
Shelly “Lee” Leffingwell is an American politician and the current mayor of Austin. Yup, that is his name. He has a girl’s first name, but goes by Lee.
There was a transgender ex marine Jennifer Gale that actually got a lot of votes several years ago. Note that I did not call him / her / it / a former Marine.
