Former SF city employee pleads guilty to possession of child pornography

A former San Francisco Human Rights Commission employee pleaded guilty Tuesday to felony possession of child pornography.

Larry Brinkin, 67, agreed this morning to a plea deal with San Francisco prosecutors, who dropped a second charge of distributing child pornography.

This is a followup to a 2012 story about a very well connected Larry Brinkin, a San Francisco LGBT advocate and long-time San Francisco Human Rights member (retired) being caught with child porn.

He's going to serve six months in jail, six months home detention, and four years' probation. He's out on bail and sentencing will happen in March. He'll also have to register as a sex offender.
