Richard Cash, one of four announced primary challengers to U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, criticized the Seneca Republican in front of the his Greenville and Columbia offices, on Wednesday -- the 41st anniversary of the historic Supreme Court ruling that struck down anti-abortion laws.

"Roe v. Wade has created a scourge upon this land and is something that needs to overturned," Cash said, criticizing Graham's support of President Barack Obama's Supreme Court nominees and promising that he would only vote for nominees who would vote to overturn the 1973 abortion ruling.

Cash dismissed Graham's role as sponsor of a bill that would limit abortions after 20 weeks, and said the first bill he would sponsor would be "Personhood" legislation, declaring that a person's constitutional protections begin at the time of conception.

"Just as we receive constitutional protections for our life, so should each human being created in the image of God from the time of conception to natural death," Cash said.

Graham's spokesman Tate Zeigler, said in a statement: "Lindsey Graham is a strong pro-life leader with the record to back it up. He has a 100 percent rating from the National Right to Life and has been recognized as Legislator of the Year by the South Carolina Citizens for Life. He was one of the original authors of the Unborn Victims of Violence Act and co-sponsored the Partial Birth Abortion Ban, which were both signed into law by President Bush. He is currently the lead sponsor in the Senate for the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which bans abortions after 5 months – more than halfway through a mother’s pregnancy.”

Cash said that Graham and the National Right to Life do not go far enough in their efforts to thwart abortion.

NATIONAL RIGHT TO LIFE IS TIED AT THE HIP TO THE GOP ESTABLISHMENT.

RONALD REAGAN TOOK THE POSITION THAT ABORTION SHOULD BE ILLEGAL FROM THE MOMENT OF CONECEPTION WITH THREE EXCEPTIONS-RAPE INCEST OR THE MOTHER’S LIFE.

NRL AND THE GOP ESTABLISHMENT HAVE LOWERED THE BAR WITH THEIR LATEST POLITICAL GIMMICK-THE 20 WEEK BAN.

HECK, THE NRL AFFILIATE IN MY STATE HAS ALWAYS RANKED A LOCAL REPUBLICAN STATE SENATOR AS PRO-ABORTION FOR BELIEVING THAT ABORTION SHOULD BE LEGAL FOR THE FIRST 12 WEEKS OF PREGNANCY WHEN MOST ABORTIONS OCCUR.

THIS NEW 20 WEEK BAN GIMMICK WOULD RELABEL PRO-ABORTION REPUBLICANS AS PRO-LIFE FOR VOTING FOR IT.

Grahamnesty is one of the most dishonest Senators in DC, and that is saying a lot.

I don’t believe anything he says.
