Appearing on Ralph Bristols #1 rated talk radio show in Nashville this morning (99.7 WWTN FM), BEAT LAMAR co-founder Michael Patrick Leahy predicted that Tea Party backed State Representative Joe Carr will be endorsed by all the major Washington based conservative groups before the August 2014 Republican primary.
According to Leahy, Lamar Alexander is the most vulnerable of the RINO Senators now up for re-election, and all the Washington conservative groups know this. The majority of these groups will endorse Joe Carr to BEAT LAMAR after the Kentucky primary, which will be held on May 20.
Leahy added that well before primary day on August 7, all the major groups will be on board and will publicly endorse Joe Carr.
As of the beginning of 2014, BEAT LAMAR has 1,100 volunteers throughout Tennessee who are conducting an extensive voter canvassing effort of the states 750,000 expected Republican primary voters.
BEAT LAMAR is a project of the Real Conservatives National Committee, the conservative ground game Super PAC based in Spring Hill, Tennessee.

The only way this sort of insurgency works is if one strong canidate is backed by conservatives. If you have several conservatives running you end up with the establishment RINO winning.
Fitting the current election pattern, if Lamar does lose the primary, the RINOs will have him run as an “Independent” to get back at the Tea Party and allow the Democrat to win.

As far as I know, Carr is Lamar’s only challenger.
