McDaniel Blasts RINO Cochran in Mississippi Senate Race for Constitutional ‘Inability’

GOP Sen. Thad Cochran of Mississippi is facing a spirited challenge from the tea party wing of the party as he seeks a seventh term, with his opponent, state Sen. Chris McDaniel, citing the senator’s voting record as his reason for running.

“I am running primarily because of [Cochran’s] inability to follow constitutional constraints — on spending, on sovereignty, and other major issues,” McDaniel told Newsmax, citing the senator’s vote last year to re-open the government with a resolution that included funding Obamacare.

Although more Republican senators supported the measure than opposed it, McDaniel said that he “would have stood with” GOP Sens. Ted Cruz of Texas, Mike Lee of Utah, Rand Paul of Kentucky, and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania “who voted no, and fought that fight.”

I don’t see how Cochran can defend his votes and actions if he debates McDaniel. Cochran and his reelection director, Roger Wicker’s Son in Law, can go pound sand.

O Boy is he hitting all the buttons. Keep it up guy, and you will win. Add that and the lack of opposition from Cochran to the EOs the little turd in the white hut is handing out..in fact, Cochran is failing his oath of office.

From the Article:

“The Magnolia State almost never turns out sitting senators. The last time a U.S. senator from Mississippi lost a bid for re-nomination was in 1942, when Sen. Wall Doxey was beaten by fellow Democrat James Eastland. Eastland would go on to serve 36 years before retiring in 1978, when Cochran won the seat for his first term.”

This is THE problem in the South and Mid-South states. Ignorant voters, most of whom who live off of the government tit!

As for your own comment:

I'll take this golden opportunity to remind you that the SOUTH has been saving the Union from the demonic-rats for decades, without any help from the LIBERAL infested states like my native CA!, so how about you getting your facts straight or else minding your own business?

You have no idea that we have THAD ENOUGH!

I think you mean the northern states. We, in the South, have done a lot better job than the north or other states electing conservatives. Get your facts straight. In the past the southern dems were a lot more conservative than now.

Not only are we going to kick thad the impaler out of office... we are going to kick wicker’s ass out of office in 2018. You have no idea how angry Mississippians are. We have a bad case of “throw all the bums out”. The state party has little control over primary voters so watch and learn. It’s a new day in the Magnolia State.

If you mean “saving” by the likes of McConnell, Lamar, Thad, Old Helmet Head from MS, The “Ford Family of Crooked Blacks from Memphis,” etc. My point was to the effect that the South has had a propensity for electing people “for life.” Much more so than other parts of the country. BTW, although I am not a Tennessean by birth, I did spend seven years in Memphis. Just loved to watch the corruption in McNarry County!

Memphis is a septic tank and has NOTHING in common with the fine Conservatives in Mississippi. BTW, we refine your gas, grow your cotton, develop and launch your Space ships, build your Naval Vessels and we are even responsible for ATM machines.

“In the past the southern dems were a lot more conservative than now.”

That’s not my point. The South ( and the Mid-South) have tended to elect people in perpetuity to office. Old Robert Byrd went from his Senate seat to his grave. McConnell, Alexander, Cochran, Old Helmet Hair (the other guy who was a lifer in MS), may be Republicans, but they are not doing anything to solve this nation’s problems and should be thrown from office. But I will bet that it will be a miracle if any of these jerks are removed from office by their constituents this year. I just hope I am really wrong. Southern Democrats rode the slave ships to Washington after the civil war and stayed until they died.

Note one difference in all of those you cite. Like it or not, they're RINOs, but not DEMOCRATS, like the LIFETIME infestations in CA of Boxer and Feinstein!

The South is NOT the problem and that is my point.

So explain why Boner, from the midwest, has been there as long as he has?

Ignorant voters there too?

Or that fossil McCain. How long’s he been in the senate? Most of AZ living off the tit too?

“Memphis is a septic tank and has NOTHING in common with the fine Conservatives in Mississippi. BTW, we refine your gas, grow your cotton, develop and launch your Space ships, build your Naval Vessels and we are even responsible for ATM machines.”

This discussion has nothing to do with commerce. And for what it’s worth, in my business there I did business with of those industries, all whom existed to some extent by reason of the government tit. That’s for certain with Ingalls and the other shipbuilders, and Huntsville. But the issue I see is “lifetime” politicians who see their sole responsibly to their constituents to “bring home the Federal Bacon.” It’s gratifying to see that there is a spark amongst the decent conservatives in the South to try and oust these jerks, but it’s not likely to happen this year, although I hope I am really wrong in that thinking. And you have to ask yourself why. The why is that Mississippi lives off of the Federal Government to a greater extent than most states and the people there are used to the Federal handouts so they won’t get rid of Cochran or people of his ilk because to do so may cut off their personal gravy train.

The other thing I remember was the way they handled miscreants down in Parchment Prison. They called it “ringing you up.” Just connect an old telephone magneto to the prisoners genitals and begin turning the crank. Now that’s “enlightened” punishment don’t you think?

BTW California grows substantially more cotton than does Mississippi although with the way it consumes water we shouldn’t be growing it.
