Schumer: Immigration Reform Stalled by Tea Party Racism
breitbart ^ | 1/24/14

Posted on 01/23/2014 5:31:48 PM PST by Nachum

On Thursday, speaking at the John Podesta-founded Center for American Progress, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said that if it were not for the Tea Party, immigration reform would have passed long ago. He blamed Tea Party opposition to immigration reform on racism. "In a pre-tea party world, the Senate immigration bill would have been welcomed by House Republicans," Schumer stated. "However, the tea party rank and file know it's a different America. It looks different; it prays different; it works different. This is unsettling and angering to some."

Schumer added that discomfort with demographic change – racism – explained “why so many on the right vehemently opposed the Senate immigration bill, a bill that actually embodies many conservative, non-governmental principals: reducing our deficit by billions, growing our economy, creating jobs and spurring new entrepreneurial activity.”

Me too. I would love to just get in his face and shout, “You are a rich, old, white man. You are everything that your party claims to hate.”

And then I’d punch him in the face. Or maybe I’d do that first. Or both.

Why can't anyone in the Republican Party stand up to this?

What's racist is replacing black workers with hispanic workers. That's the dems in collusion with corporate America, and they're destroying the fabric of the US in the process.

The US plans to resettle 30,000 Syrian Islamists displaced by the Syrian War, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Not “amnesty” per say; just an engraved invite from Benghazi Barry Soebarkah—(they’ll get ObamaPhones, too, no doubt, to allow Barry’s minions to relay instructions concerning where and when to vote communist/dem.)

‘Splain that, Schumer.

So there were no conservatives in America before the Tea Party was formed? Lots of polls show that 40% of the country consistently labels themselves conservative, versus about 20% who call themselves liberals.

Who stopped amnesty in 2006/2007?

Hastert and Delay were not on the far right.

McCaskill, Harkin, Sherrod Brown and Sanders were not in the Tea Party.

Schumer is the same ilk as my long since dead senator Howard Metzembaum. I alway thought the old commie ( christians are the evil of the world) was behind the 1988 erisa ruling changing the company pension vesting rights from 10 years to five years, accelerating the dumping of manufacturing jobs in my state. You have to understand this bunch are political scientist, unlike say an aerospace designer. They are experts at manipulating statistics, data, and people. That’s what they do, untill we start electing some citizen legislators we are at their mercy. That’s why they have to demonize the tea party. It becomes increasingly clear the republican party has been extorted or compromised. We can change this, we only have to try. I pledge my allegiance to the stars and bars from now on, not any party.

I do think he is right to a point. Seems until the Tea Party the Republicans just rolled over to whatever the dems wanted. In fact that was in part why the Tea Party came about, we/they were tired of the Repubs campaigning on one thing and then doing the opposite when elected.

"In a pre-tea party world, the Senate immigration bill would have been welcomed by House Republicans," Schumer stated.

In a pre-tea party world, Republicans would have cowered at the shadows of Democrats and rolled over every time they spoke.

There is a Hastert Rule on immigration. Hastert killed Kennedy’s bill and did not go to conference because Bush would not sign enforcement.

In 2007, Sessions, Vitter, Demint and moderate Democrats killed the bill in the Senate to stop Pelosi.

http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2006/06/14/hastert_resists_pressure_on_immigration_bill2

Hastert said hearings on the Senate bill should be held before appointing anyone to a House-Senate committee to negotiate a compromise immigration bill. Later, he said he was unsure what the House’s next move would be. ‘We’re going to take a long look at it,’ Hastert said late Tuesday.”
Which is good! It’s over 500 pages. This is sort of unprecedented.
“House Majority Leader John Boehner agreed.

Of course we all know this has nothing to do with replacing workers. The black vote is a lock for dems. No matter what. The dems could reintroduce slavery and they would get 97% of the black vote.

This is all about adding a whole new race to get on welfare, so they can get them firmly in the pocket of the dems as well. Those RINO’s who are on board, are only concerned about their own hides, being promised a few leftover votes, just enough to get them through the next election cycle. Damned be the Republic to these people.

Three generations from now and the Hispanics will be full blown on welfare as well, pulling the D lever to get their food pellets.
