Former 'American Idol' star Clay Aiken is running for Congress in North Carolina, in-state Democrats with knowledge of his plans tell The Hill.

Aiken, a former runner-up on the top-rated show and Raleigh native, plans to run against Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-N.C.) in a Republican-leaning district. WRAL first reported that the singer was assembling a campaign team and prepping a launch for next month.

Exactly. Never underestimate the power of retarded and low information voters. Without them, Barry would still be making signs and posters and shouting through a megaphone on the streets of Chicago.

Ellmers is terrible and an amnesty supporter. Frank Roche is running against her. He even attacked massive legal immigration.

If an individual wants to come to this country to work, to provide for his family and contribute to his community, he should be allowed to do so. Our focus should be on his intent, not his circumstance.

It is a Republican leaning district.

Id vote for Aiken if I could get rid of Ellmers for 2 years. Maybe Aiken will get sick of it and convince Aaron Schock to free up another seat held by a RINO.

Franken was running statewide in Minnesota in a democrat year.

Fag boy is running in a Republican district in what it not likely to be a democrat year. Apples and oranges.

Rats are very unlikely to seriously compete in the district but they do have a decent recruit in former State Commerce Secretary Keith Crisco. They don’t want this little queen getting in his way.

Well, he didn’t win. He won by a few votes, and it was later discovered that many votes were from felony convicts. If those votes were removed he would have lost, or they would have ginned up another box of votes out of the trunk of a car.

He should have been tossed from office when the voter fraud was revealed. I’ll never understand why he wasn’t.

There should be mandatory jail time for candidates who win by fraud.

Khent used to listen to that when he was in his aerobics phase; it’s on his iPod.

OTOH, ever since he went ballistic, the little bitch is on lockdown and gets no Internet, TV, etc. I told him he was 2 weeks to move out, the little poof.

Franken was running statewide in Minnesota in a democrat year.

And still had to be bailed out by the RAT vote fraud machine...

Pelosi as speaker is fantasy.

There is no way House Republicans get less than 225 seats.

The only way Pelosi becomes Speaker is if a dozen House Republicans decide to vote Pelosi in revenge for Boehner passing amnesty.

All these Democrats retiring and enough of these Democrats who survived based on 2012 turnout are going to lose.

Democrats are wrong on everything for their district: Obamacare, immigration and cutting off Veterans.

Id be happy to see Congresscritters as stupid as Ellmers gone for 2 years.

There should be mandatory jail time for candidates who win by fraud.

The thing about that is unless they are incumbents (or holders of other powerful offices like then WA State AG Christine Gregoire who stole the 2004 Governor's race) it's unlikely they were involved in the fraud themselves, rather others do it on their behalf. I doubt one could prove Franken himself committed a crime.
