Drilling More Holes in Obamacare’s Sinking Ship

The President’s main “accomplishment” has been such a disaster that I wonder whether it’s time to feel sorry for Obama.

And if you looked in the dictionary for a definition of Schadenfreude, you might find a picture of me reading a story exposing more evidence that Obamacare isn’t working.

Heck, I’ve even shared Hitler parody videos (two of them!) mocking the law.

But to paraphrase Mae West, there’s no such thing as too much of a good thing.

Today, we’re going to look at the opinions of two experts, both of whom expect further bad news for Obamacare.

Here’s some of what Michael Tanner, my Cato colleague, wrote for the New York Post.

…“the State of ObamaCare” is growing ever more troubled. For starters, it’s falling far short of the goal of universal coverage. …just 1.5 million have actually completed the ObamaCare checkout, including payment. Worse, surveys indicate that less than a third of those enrolling were previously uninsured. …Even using the most optimistic reading of these figures, fewer than 11 percent of uninsured Americans have gotten coverage because of the ObamaCare law; most likely, fewer. This is what we’re getting for the $2.7 trillion that ObamaCare will cost over the next 10 years? Plus, we should subtract the roughly 500,000 Americans who, by the White House’s own count, have lost insurance because of ObamaCare.

And Mike expects things will get worse over time.

…that’s just the tip of the iceberg, because those policy-killing rules will hit another part of the market over the course of this year — namely, the “small group” market, where employers now buy health policies that cover about 78 million Americans. Many of those with cancelled plans will ultimately end up with similar, if more expensive, employment-based policies, but some are likely to simply wind up uninsured. …Then there’s the bad news about who is enrolling in ObamaCare plans — or rather, who isn’t: not enough of the young and healthy folks that the program needs to overpay for insurance so as to offset the costs of covering older and sicker people. …Oh, and a Reuters survey finds that new enrollees are also less healthy than ObamaCare’s designers hoped, too. Humana, one of the nation’s largest insurers, reports that so far enrollment in its exchange-based plans has been far “more adverse than previously expected.”

With the King Obama rape of America I cannot wish him any relief from the anti-American crap. I hope he is impeached but little hope from the MSM, Hollywood, and the communists Democrats. America may never get restarted from the damage.

Frankly, I wish they would stop drilling holes. It’s fun watching it sink slowly.

The only problem is, it is not sinking.

Ever watch the movie Titanic? It was sinking the whole time, once it hit the iceberg. But on some parts of the ship you would never know it.

ZeroCare was launched when Roberts gave his logic defying opinion. It hit its iceberg last October. One by one, the panic level on subsequent upper decks increases as the boat excruciatingly painfully slowly slips below the waves, deck by deck. Wait’ll we reach the end of the one year reprieve businesses got. That is when the tail will begin lifting high above the icy waters. It will be fast. It will hurt a lot of people. And a lot of people in the lifeboats won't make it.

This is the year it gets ugly. Next year is our “day of reckoning”.

RE :”I devoutly believe that Obamacare will be chronicled in history as a blunder of Ceausescuian proportions.”

Hopefully, however Obama’s in office ~ 3 more years and can still cause much trouble,
He got rid of the Senate filibuster so he can appoint his radicals to rule us from the bench without restraint, and we can see that happening already in decisions.

The real challenge is for the GOP to convince Americans that there is a better alternative to Obama-care and that they know what it is.

Free stuff is always popular.

Except its POS namesake will simply walk away from the destruction and into the sunset rather than meet a Ceausescuian conclusion.

To me, this is just more proof that Democrats never intended for Obama Care to work. They knew they were incapable of running anything that large, and they knew Republicans were aware of their incompetence. Democrats were confident that Republicans would stop them, thus leaving them without the responsibility of running something they were incapable of running in the first place, but leaving them with the issue. What they didn’t realize was Republicans have become just as incompetent as are Democrats.

Never forget that Democrats are Communists and Communists are ends justify the means liars. Democrats are masters of the lie, the double deal, the scam, the hustle, the rigged election, and any trick they can use to stay in power, but they aren’t capable of running a legitimate business enterprise such as our country’s health care system and they know it.

When Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barry Soetoro passed Obama Care, they knew it was not only unworkable but it was unconstitutional and the Supreme Court would stop it, leaving the Democrats with the issue (“We tried to provide every American with affordable health care, and the mean old Republicans stopped us”). In the meantime, the Democrats rewarded loyal Democrats with over a billion dollars (exact amount still not revealed) in contracts for a website that was never intended to come to fruition. They certainly didn’t expect John Roberts’ Supreme Court to leave them with the responsibility and not the issue.

This Republican halted health care issue was the one the Democrats intended to use to rally their base for the 2012 election and without it had to use the Trayvon Martin shooting instead. “If I had a son,” and a few rigged elections barely pulled it off for them in 2012, but they were also counting on the ACA issue for 2014 and 2016, so now what are they going to use to rally their base? Not to worry, they’ll come up with something that’ll infuriate their “low information” electorate.

No, John Roberts didn’t do the Democrats a favor when he didn’t give them an “issue” but instead gave them the responsibility for doing something they were incapable of ever doing and never intended to do in the first place.

But what do I know? I’m just a tax payer.

I hope that you are correct.

I compare this to the RCA videodisk players I sold back around 1980. They were horrible, but a lot of videophiles were afraid that the massive RCA marketing machine would allow them to compete with Laserdisk. However, they were just so bad that no amount of marketing could overcome the awfulness of these players.

Same thing with ZeroCare. The more people know, the more they don’t like it, and the more people that don’t like it, the closer it is to slipping permanently below the surface. And I think the number of people being added to the numgbers who don’t like it is increasing with every week. And they don’t just “don’t like it”. They HATE it.

It simply can’t be saved. It is truly that awful.

It’s not a law so much as it is an agenda.

They passed it without reading it and Obama persuades others to violate the law.

Full speed ahead! (”Forward”)

This bill was designed to fail on purpose. Do you notice all the democrat talking heads saying that Obamacare is using “Free Market” principles??? That in itself should give you a heads up! When it finally collapses they will put
In the sinsingle payer and blame the Free Capitalist Evil Market. Oh, and while Lucy is pulling football...the stupid Republicans will he flat on their back again!

In this instance, there is no conflict between the German word “Schadenfreude”, and another, lesser known word, “Scheissenbedauern”, whose exact translation is “sh*t regret”, which means “disappointment that something is not as bad as you hoped it would be.”

So long as Congress can play the role of some animals are better than the rest and opt out of this program of common misery, nothing will change.

Boehner can have his share of the responsibility for the liberal creation of common misery. Boehner could have pulled the funding plug years ago. The GOP-e has demonstrated they like to tax and spend as much as any progressive liberal. Some people are naturally ‘control freaks’ and will do whatever it takes to get and keep what they want.
