MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell was in the midst of a discussion with former Rep. Jane Harman (D-Calif.) about reforms to the National Security Agency when she had to interrupt for breaking news ... about Justin Bieber.

Of course its more important to discuss the antics of a Canadian/Canadien juvenile delinquent. Why question that?
The media going nuts over actors is not new.
I remember when the MSM was falling all over itself to tell us of the latest escapade, sickness and near death of ELIZABETH TAYLOR while filming CLEOPATRA back about 1963.
I remember a TV GUIDE cartoon from that time showing a TV set jumping toward a family with the words “FLASH!” on the screen while the family, including the dog, recoil in terror! The flash was for some silly thing of no importance.

Well, to be fair it WAS Jane Harmon. If I were the Producer in charge of the control room I’d have probably done the same thing.
Bieber needs to make as much money as he can and as soon as he can, because that 15 minutes is almost up.

They probably had to fop a coin. Both Harman and Bieber are FOS.
Did FoxNews do the same? They used to be horrible about Hollywood news. I don’t watch them after the morning headlines any more.
When Anna Nichole Smith was the news, FoxNews ran FoxNews Alerts for at least 28 days in a row regarding Smith. I kept a running account of the daily Alerts regarding Smith. I quit watching after the 28th day of such pablum.

I am also tired of people referring to a 19 year old as " just a kid who doesn't know any better."
We have 19 year olds who were wounded in Afghanistan and Iraq. The only thanks they get is to have their military benefits attacked by Washington DC.
