Senate Budget Committee Chairwoman Patty Murray (D-Wash.) warned Republicans Friday not to seek concessions in exchange for raising the nation’s debt ceiling.
Murray, fresh off negotiating a two-year budget deal with her House counterpart Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), said Democrats will not negotiate over raising the debt ceiling.
“We will not negotiate over whether or not the United States of America should pay its bills,” she writes in a letter sent to her Senate colleagues.

When Patty Murray left for DC she was as poor as a church mouse.
Now she has more money than God.

Why are the Communists even ISSUING this warning. If I am not mistaking, all the power to alter or deny this increase has been removed from anyone until October 1, 2014. Are they planning to play games with these mandatory increases and STILL blame Republicans? We already know the press will lie for them outright, but is this their plan?

I agree. If they wanted to fight, they could. It’s their perogative, their right as overseer of the power of the purse, being denied them. They don’t care. The commies in Congress are rubbing it in the faces of conservatives with this rhetoric.

He reminds me of a crude joke about a prospective prostitute being reminded that they need to be paid before they flop onto their back.

Excuse me for saying but this big government two party DC ploy to keep increasing the national debt may soon get more attention than the ruling elite are bargained for. American Spring coming to DC May 16, 2014!!! The folks marching on DC that day might consider showing up with a few hot tar carts, a few loads of dried cow dung and pitch forks. Since those in DC won’t listen to the people, maybe showing them a glimpse of what their own future may hold might be a bit more effective.

Since the shutdown the GOP leadership have doubled down on their proven loser tip toe to the election strategy.
It’s surrender monkey politics from the beltway GOP. The MSM & Dems whipped them. They simply have no interest in being an engaged opposition party while the kenyan is in the WH.
Remember, the reason we were supposed to accept the complete cave on the shutdown was because the “real fight” was going to be the debt limit.
Yes, it’s the old beltway GOP move the cheese game. I heard Peter Roskam on the radio saying the real good news is now they have regular order and will be able to get stuff done.
Surprising, the Dems don’t need regular order to get what they want. They got their IRS law to legalize their assaults on us in the Ryan-Murray bill yet the GOP was unable to get any Obamacare reporting transparency laws in it.
Why is that? The answer is fix is in. The GOP have no interest in being an engaged opposition party while the kenyan is in the WH. If the GOP plan on taking a powder until 2016 conservatives should do the same to the GOP.
