The invitation for mercy on one's soul is extended while one is alive and can choose ... not after death.

Death is the trip wire

Sounds like his guilt caught up with him.

What spiritual choice can a spiritually dead person make in this life? And which comes first in the order of salvation: faith or regeneration? Peace, A

Grace is accepted by faith (Eph 2:8&9) ... regeneration follows, but I personally believe it is instantaneous (2 Cor 5:17)

And though God uses people to win souls, I believe God witnesses to them without people (Romans 1:18 - 22)

With the Internet
Framing someone for child porn
Is really easy...

Not saying that is what happened here, of course. I don’t know the particulars.

Dead men can’t choose to be made alive. We are born again “not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:13) People hate it, but Scripture teaches that salvation is all of grace.

Grace is accepted by faith (Eph 2:8&9)... regeneration follows[.]

Eph 2: 8 & 9 (NIV) For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.

Salvation, or regeneration, is the gift of God. Any choice by man or woman is a work, including choosing Christ and choosing to profess faith (both good things). Regeneration, and becoming spiritually alive, has to precede the work of believing in and choosing Christ. And it's that way "so that no one can boast" of receiving (the gift of) salvation by (the work of) choosing Christ. In short, salvation is a gift by grace, through the faith that follows. Peace, A

When death is reported on FR, the comments are predictable. One of the common ones is the consignment to hell. That one has always made ne cringe.

Daring to declare the Mind of God is not only presumptuous, it may well be dangerous to ones own eternal fate.

-----------------------------------------------------

Matthew 7
King James Version (KJV)
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

We pray for all, because God operates beyond time and space. "Before" and "after" are not applicable in His eternal Now. Who can say what God can do? Who can say that God "cannot" respond to a prayer for mercy?

What kind of pitiful mini-semi-hemi-deity is that?

The true God's ways are as far above our ways, as the heavens are above the earth.

"O My Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell ... lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy."

Yeah ... I'd cringe too if my death was commented upon, here in FR and I was consigned to hell.

On second thought ... no, I wouldn't cringe .... There's no cringeing in heaven (axcept at the Bema Seat)

What happens to his soul is indeed up to God. However, I am not unhappy that his body is dead.

Of course God has the ability to save a sinner after he is dead, but based on His Word we know that He does not for “as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” Salvation is always of the Lord. (Jonah 2:9) He chose before the foundation of the earth whom He would save in Christ. (see Ephesians 1) Only those born again this side of eternity will be saved. (See John 3) “The salvation of the righteous is of the Lord.” (Psalm 37:39a)

GOD can forgive us our Trespasses we do in this world IF we in contrite heart ask. That forgiveness doesn't excuse nor end for us from the cause and effects of our actions while still in this world. I reckon sometimes that may include the pains of conscience & shame.
