One of the Republicans challenging Sen. Lindsey Graham for reelection is raffling off an AR-15 as part of his campaign.
State Sen. Lee Bright announced the contest in an email to supporters Thursday, encouraging them to sign up online for the raffle scheduled for Feb. 15, and asking them to forward the email to friends and family and make a donation.
Bright began the email with a reference to the tragic mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Conn., in 2012, which spurred a resurgent but ultimately futile call for gun control in Congress.
In the wake of the horrific tragedy in Newtown, Conn., gun-grabbers were sure they had the votes to ram gun control into law, the email read. Thanks to the action of Second Amendment supporters all over the country, their scheme failed even despite my Republican primary opponent, U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham.
The South Carolina lawmaker references a vote on gun control legislation in the Senate last April, which some Republicans threatened to filibuster.

As the sun rises in the East, he will be prosecuted for making a straw purchase...
Hell, I’d pitch in and donate some Magpul 30 rounders for the raffle.
Here is Lee Bright’s campaign website address.

I would hope that Mr. Bright is bright enough to return the firearm to the store it was purchased on, and require the contest winner to go through the background check, etc... themselves.
How Do I get a ticket, here in PA. Maybe 10?
The Goobermatic Assault 1000
Oh, rats. You have to give them your phone number. I sent Michelle Bachman $100 and she told EVERYBODY. I got dozens of calls. I must have gotten 50 large size photos of Mitt Romney. Who the heck wants a photo of a male presidential candidate? They were big enough for a parade float.
As much as I’d love to enter, I don’t want the hassle.
I am loving it. :-)
Lee Bright in the news ping ...
Sounds like a great guy!
It’s made crystal clear that the winner must pass all of the background checks.
This is being done in Georgia too, US Rep Paul Broun, candidate to replace RINO Saxby Chambliss in the US Senate sent out an identical email today.
This list won’t be sold it’s only for Bright Campaign.
He would get a LOT of votes if “Walking Around Money” was tendered in bricks of 22LR. Could fundraise with dinners requiring payment of said bricks.
Meanwhile... I wonder if Linda is having any Hot Coccoa Jammie Party fundraisers... oh that’s right he get’s his funds right from the RNC.

Too bad there’s no way on that site to buy raffle tickets, nor can I google a way either. I was gonna buy some tickets: great way to contribute.
Rumor has it Linda wants to campaign with the Obamacare Xmas boys in the shorts.

Go to the linked site mainpage and look at the lower right quadrant. You can navigate from there easily to where the raffle information is. As best as I can tell there’s no need to pay to enter—but I still donated $50 to his campaign after entering the raffle.
We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics. Funny how that works.
From Bright's site:
I plan on entering the raffle, and supporting his senate run actively.
Please know that you must be at least 18 years old, and will be required to pass a background check in order to receive the prize.
I donated 25 bucks and entered the raffle. What the heck, I’ll probably lose but I’ll still be supporting one of the good guys.
Signed up for it yesterday...and made a donation. Whatever takes out Graham.
Naysayers will blather...but this will get folks attention
If Sarah Brady can get away with it, he can, too. Besides, if he requires the winner to get a background check, what’s the problem?
Funny thing...I got that email from the Bright campaign about 10 minutes after I turned off a Lyndsgay Radio interview he was doing here locally in the Upstate of SC. That POS Graham made me so mad, I went right to that Bright website, entered the raffle for the rifle and donated 50 bucks! Thanks for the prompt Lynsgay !
He sounds great too!!
He is! His conservative record is beyond reproach! Bright rocks! Please elect this man SC!
