NEW YORK When the 9/11 Memorial Museum opens in mid-May, it will have shards of the fallen World Trade Center towers. It will have walls covered with portraits of the nearly 3,000 victims, and the watch worn by Todd Beamer when he declared, "Let's roll," and helped launch an attack on the Flight 93 hijackers.

As long as the money goes to support, maintain, and operate the museum, then it shouldn’t be a problem.
Id need to see a List ..of the board of directors before I make a call on this one....
How else are they going to fund the museum? If it was “free” it would close due to lack of funding. On the other hand, we waste enough money other things so maybe it should be a national museum like the Museum of Nat’l History or the Smithsonian. If our “leaders” weren’t so incompetent I might consider supporting that.
Agreed.
Depending on who’s running it (it IS New York, after all), the money could potentially be funded to “less-than-American” causes...
I find it real sad that âthe watch worn by Todd Beamerâ a great American ends up in that $hithole called New York. City or State!
As long as it’s not nine dollars and eleven cents. THAT would be in bad taste.
I saw the 9-11 exhibit in Albany years ago. They had personal effects that were taken fron the site - just day-to-day things to remind us how the whole world changed on what started out as an average day. There was even a partially crushed fire truck that was salvaged from the wreckage. It was stunning, just stunning. They played tapes from the ground on the day it happened, and to relive those hours was almost traumatic, indeed.
So then the government would pay for it, and it wouldn’t be free because the taxpayers would be paying for it.
$9.11 -— Easy to remember.
Admission to the Oklahoma City memorial is $12. If you are ever close to OKC. it is well worth the visit. $24 in NYC is the price of a parking spot. Or a coffee and bagel at a good hotel.
I don’t need a museum to remember that awful morning. Every day at work I go out of my way to avoid the many artifacts and displays that commemorate the day and our coworkers who were killed.

Perhaps we should have rebuilt the Twin Towers, made them a floor taller and just move on....
I got involved with these thieves early. They are either incompetent or worse.
Wonder if CAIR will request a Muslim discount?
Cost:
USS Arizona Memorial Tour, Visitor Center, & Museum: Free
A lot of foreign lookie Loos down there now. Let them pay to support the museum.
Private donations. Fundraising. Sponsors. The good old American way.
On the other hand, $24 admission will keep out the riffraff.
No “Muslims get in free for Ramadan”?
