Wattsup ^ | 1/25/2013

A paper published January 21st in Quaternary Science Reviews reconstructs storm activity in Iceland over the past 1,200 years and finds storminess and extreme weather variability was far more common during the Little Ice Age in comparison to the Medieval Warm Period and the 20th century. The paper adds to many other peer-reviewed publications finding global warming decreases storm activity, the opposite of claims by climate alarmists....

Sheesh. Anyone who has bothered to study HISTORY knows this. Periods of “warm” were times of prosperity and expansion, and periods of “cold” were times of scarcity, famine, and disease.

Let's look at the one substantiated fact of warm periods in history: The periods of greatest human progress have all been clearly identifiable warm periods. The spread of Christianity, the great explorations, the Enlightenment following the Dark Ages, The Medieval Warm Period, the growth of the Industrial Revolution and the spread of high technology, communication and food production have all happened during warm periods.

Yep, the book “The Little Ice Age” spells it out pretty well and it was written by a warmist. Another thing that generally comes with cold is droughts.

Two Rules About Global Warming (Sarcasm)

1 - Record Setting Cold Temperatures:
Snow or ice does not disprove the existence of Global Warming. They are just anecdotal evidence of a temporary condition and cannot be regarded as valid indicators.

2 - Record Setting Warm Temperatures:
Drought, rain, storms, melting ice, or other unusual conditions are undeniable empirical evidence that man caused Global Warming is destroying the planet, and maybe even the entire galaxy.

This makes sense. Storms are heat engines. The bigger the heat difference, the more powerful the storm. Very cold versus warm is a bigger difference than mildly cold versus warm.

If you want to be happy in life make an ugly woman your wife, she can cook!

I am not saying that, but women do not think the same way as we do. They want a caveman until you tie the knot and then a slave to keep up their prominence in the female pecking order.

I have a Mercedes and me and the kiddies go down to Palm Beach for the season John was going to join us but he had to work.

I've just finished my own study and have concluded that global warming AND global cooling are BOTH conditions of an ongoing cycle known as WEATHER.

I hope to get a LARGE Government grant so I can delve into this even deeper by traveling to places like Tahiti, Hawaii, Belize, etc, to see how the weather is there.

A few years ago I told my preacher, who blindly believes anything put out by mainstream scientists about warming, about an article by an English scientist who runs a research laboratory. It was titled “What if the sun causes Global Warming?”

He said, snidely, “You can't believe everything you read on the internet.”

I told him, “It's the cover article on this month's Scientific American magazine.

His answer was to go completely silent, lose eye contact, and sit at his desk until I brought up a different subject.

Imagine, a silent preacher! But it’s all too believable that a man who refuses to accept evidence would get mad at someone who offers evidence, even if that someone is his friend.

I've noticed that preachers, though they be ever so humble, seem to suffer more than most people from god-complex when it comes to dissent against their opinions. I can understand why they would on devotional matters, but being called to service doesn't confer infallibly to their secular opinions.
