Chilling video of village residents fighting cartels, and the Mexican government is disarming the residents.

Of course he’s doing that only AFTER he’s disarmed the cartels

Once people allow a government to take away a freedom, scarcely anything short of violence can get it back. Be warned.

Nothing like all the Catholics who were killed during the Cristiada by Calles and his co-horts.
See For Greater Glory — I think it’s now on DVD.

Words that will soon echo down through the generations in our own country. If you wish to keep your republic, you will have to fight for it.
"Dr. Franklin, what have you given us?"
"A republic, madam. If you can keep it."

The government wants to disarm the people because 1) to get the bribery money flowing again and 2) they are afraid the people will tun the guns on them.

Mexico has no Second Amendment right to bear arms.
The corruption of Mexico's government at all levels have left the Mexican people defenseless and so they have armed themselves and organized a common defense; a militia.
This could be us. Factions in this country wish to disarm the American people.
Watch this video and imagine yourself in their situation.

Last Mexican Revolution the wrong people won. It reminds me of what Frederick Douglas Said long ago— “Let he who would be Free strike the First Blow.” The US should send troops, trainers, guns to the Mexican Rebels—The Cartels have bought the Government there. Word of warning—NO AMERICAN SHOULD STEP ACROSS THE BORDER FOR THE NEXT DECADE.

Friend from Mexico would not travel there during the previous regime because the government fought the cartels and made things very dangerous. He said if a regime is elected that will leave cartels alone, safety will improve for travelers. I guess that is what happened because he took his family back to visit relatives during Christmas. Sad state of affairs when criminals run the country.

When a government has ceased to protect the lives, liberty and property of the people, from whom its legitimate powers are derived, and for the advancement of whose happiness it was instituted, and so far from being a guarantee for the enjoyment of those inestimable and inalienable rights, becomes an instrument in the hands of evil rulers for their oppression.
...
When, in consequence of such acts of malfeasance and abdication on the part of the government, anarchy prevails, and civil society is dissolved into its original elements. In such a crisis, the first law of nature, the right of self-preservation, the inherent and inalienable rights of the people to appeal to first principles, and take their political affairs into their own hands in extreme cases, enjoins it as a right towards themselves, and a sacred obligation to their posterity, to abolish such government, and create another in its stead, calculated to rescue them from impending dangers, and to secure their future welfare and happiness.
...
It has suffered the military commandants, stationed among us, to exercise arbitrary acts of oppression and tyrrany, thus trampling upon the most sacred rights of the citizens, and rendering the military superior to the civil power.
...
It has demanded the surrender of a number of our citizens, and ordered military detachments to seize and carry them into the Interior for trial, in contempt of the civil authorities, and in defiance of the laws and the constitution.
...
It has demanded us to deliver up our arms, which are essential to our defence, the rightful property of freemen, and formidable only to tyrannical governments.
...
It has, through its emissaries, incited the merciless savage [drug cartels], with the tomahawk and scalping knife, to massacre the inhabitants of our defenseless frontiers.
...
It hath been, during the whole time of our connection with it, the contemptible sport and victim of successive military revolutions, and hath continually exhibited every characteristic of a weak, corrupt, and tyrranical government.
Anyone recognize this?

These folks (los grupos de autodefensa) who have banded together in several Mexican communities to fight off the cartels when the government won’t do that (and may even be in corrupt “cohoots” with the cartels) are doing the right and courageous thing. It’s disgusting that the government then comes in and tries to disarm them merely because they were doing what the authorities should have done.
