If this upcoming week is as miserable as earlier this month, I’ll be closed for the 4th time in January.

Meh. Saves me on labor costs and heating. Always look for the silver lining! :)

In the Soviet Union, they had bad wheat harvests from 1917 to 1989. Weather! What can you do??

In the US, our economy had been bad from 2008 to 2014 and, I'm sure, beyond that to 2016 or more. Polar Vortex! What can you do??

Gee, that sounds like the “bads” in both countries were/are due to the same cause - Communist dictatorship.

Not Obama’s fault, at least that seems to be the point of the article.

gee, the weather sure has been causing a lot of problems for the economy since 2008.

and if someone with an R attached to their name was in the white house, almost certain the weather would not be to blame.

School closings here in MN...never happened until 1994 when we had PROG/RINO Arne Carlson as goobernor.

Apparently all kids nowdays only have access to clothing on par to what Ernest Shackleton had 100 years ago and cold is something brand new to Minnesota.
