Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) has cleared the way for Eric Cantor (R-Va.) to succeed John Boehner as the next Speaker.
Ryan this week said he's not interested in becoming Speaker, preferring to head the influential Ways and Means Committee in 2015. Boehner has repeatedly said he's not retiring at the end of this Congress, but that hasn't tamped down speculation that the Ohio Republican is considering retirement.
The Hill recently surveyed dozens of Republicans in the House and the consensus was that the only lawmaker who could defeat Cantor is Ryan.
GOPe PLEASE GO HOME.
I dislike them both. I have very little reason to ever vote for a Republican again.
Cantor? Hell no!
John B. may take this as a hint that he is no longer be wanted as speaker...?
When ‘Boner’ trashed the Tea Party a while back, I figured that he wasn’t running again.
No. He’d be as bad as Bohner. How about... STEVE KING!!
Every day that Boehner retains a position of party leadership and House leadership is another mark against Republicans.
The best the Uniparty offers are mental cases: Boehner and Pelosi.
Im ready to send subpoenas to Hillary Clinton, [Former U.S. Ambassador] Susan Rice, Cheryl Mills and Patrick Kennedy. Im ready to take their depositions.
And Im ready to send interrogatories to the president.
Alan West for speaker.
Ryan has completely gone Beltway.
Cantor trying to pretend he is the “conservative” option to Boehner
I’not a fan.
At some point, a crucial point, Eric Cantor, will be recognized, as a Romney type sleazeball.

Cantor is a big Wall Street and Chamber of Amnesty guy. He is bad, bad news for the middle class taxpayer.
Here is Cantor from 2010.
I dont trust Eric Cantor one bit.
July 20, 2010
Cantor wont join House Tea Party Caucus
House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) is taking a pass on the House Tea Party Caucus.
The second-ranking House Republican told POLITICO on Tuesday that hes not joining the group started by Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) because he sees it as more of an organic, grass-roots movement rather than a Washington entity.
Cantor praised Bachmann for providing another avenue for people to have their voices heard but said he thinks the tea party is better left outside Washington.

>> The Republicans have thrown out much of their base and shown that the Republican Party has no principles other than greed, ambition, and corruption.
It’s a club. A small club and growing smaller. All that Chamber of Commerce money will be wasted on people who don’t get elected. N.B RINOs, you’ve screwed people too many times. Your day has gone.
Bring in that rat house and invest in rope
We’re coming to get you John!
Cantor is gayer than Boehner, isn’t he?
The Hill recently surveyed dozens of Republicans in the House. . . and got the consensus of the GOP-e, obviously.
“Cantor next Speaker”—Heaven help us.
“Ryan next Chairman of Ways and Means”—Heaven deliver us.
The entire, existing “leadership” team must be thrown out. They are completely and utterly useless, unless you happen to be a Dim hoping for a corrupt and ineffective opposition.
ugh, I can’t stand that whiney ass guy.
RINO’s rule the House
Cantor is as paid off as Speaker Boner.
Cantor is bad and Ryan is terrible.
Amnestyites who will allow millions of invaders to become citizens who will then pick our pockets clean.
They are the enemy.
I’d love to see Trey Gowdy in that position, but the powers that be won’t allow that.
..............”The Hill recently surveyed dozens of Republicans in the House and the consensus was that the only lawmaker who could defeat Cantor is Ryan”.
BS! Name the “dozens”. Was “dozens” in reality 1 dozen? Plus, what if 80-100 new pubs are on the floor come January 2015? What if Cantor is defeated? What if Ryan is defeated? I could go on and on.
The biggest single problem in this country today is the media, as exemplified by this clueless idiot. There are simply too many imponderables to come to such a sweeping conclusion.
Boehner, Cantor, Ryam the axis of RINO.
Ryan angling to make Cantor Speaker.
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
The GOPe is owned by the Chamber of Commerce.
Lets HOPE and PRAY that the make-up of the NEW house is such that these two damn losers are relegated to legislative obscurity.
You bet, onyx
See Michele Malkin’s column re Chamber of Commerce.
THANKS SO MUCH.
God bless and keep you.
Gowdy is my choice for speaker.
“Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.”
Cantor be the first practicing Jew in the position of Speaker of The House. Might that help him to behave in a more gutsy manner? Ryan is a disappointment, and fast becoming a liability to the preservation of our borders.
“Id love to see Trey Gowdy in that position, but the powers that be wont allow that.”
We’ve been in the process of changing the “powers that be”. That process involves getting more Tea Party conservative Republicans elected to the House of Representatives & the US Senate—and fewer RINOs. The process will be successful when numbers of Tea Party conservatives are sufficient to elect true conservatives to the Republican leadership in both the House and the Senate.
The 2014 election could be the one that provides the critical mass of new Tea Party members in Congress.
Jim Bridenstein is an example from 2012 where a Tea Party candidate ousted an incumbent RINO House member in the primary and went on to win the general election. We need to keep up that momentum.
Mine too. He is showing he can do it.
The 900 FBI files are a non-issue. Years ago I saw a list of the names and most are “who are they?” types. None of that info would be effective against current or future candidates.
If Boner retires, will we be able to tell?
Ryan has to be defeated evan if it means electing a Democrat! He is far more destructive to the good of the nation than a Democrat could be.
