January 26, 2014 10:28 AM Carney: Obamacare 'Absolutely Worth It' if Dems Lose the Senate By Andrew Johnson

Even if Obamacare proves to be electoral Kryptonite for Democrats in this year’s midterms, the White House still believes the health-care law was worth the political hit.

“The answer is it is absolutely worth it, no matter what happens politically,” press secretary Jay Carney told ABC’s Jon Karl. In fact, Carney didn’t expect running against Obamacare to even be a winning message for Republicans “because they’ve got to explain what repeal [of the law] means.”

I can see what he means.

Keeping the senate is means to an end.

What’s the point if the goal of bringing down the country is already reached?

If Congress doesn't give Obama what he wants he'll make the laws with the stroke of his pen.

What thug needs Congress?

Oh wait, all those lobbyist who legally bribe our ‘public servants’ need folks to ‘tweak regulations’ in their favor. Guess we'll have to keep pretending....

"Obamacare 'Absolutely Worth It' if Dems Lose the Senate "

I believe there are some Democratic Senators who beg to differ...

I will fight for Obamacare to the last drop of your blood.

I don't care how many Democratic Senators I have to sacrifice.

” No one was denied medical treatment.”

That isn’t entirely true. A Hospital only has to treat emergency care. Someone that will die a month later without an operation can be turned away.

A condition only has to be stabilized enough to release you to the care of your doctor. It doesn’t matter that you don’t have, and can’t afford a doctor.

If that is what it takes to wrest control of the Senate from Hairy Reems, then, yes, the suffering caused by Obamacare was worth it.

The dems can live to rule the senate another day...obamacare is another nail in America’s coffin. Goal achieved with the further advance of communism.

-— We were clearly on an unsustainable path BEFORE Obamacare. -—

“In what sense? No one was denied medical treatment. The system was stable and could have functioned indefinitely.”

OK, in 1985, my wife and I insured each other though our work plans (at no cost to us) and there was no “coordination of benefits”. From then to let’s say two years ago BEFORE Obamacare, insurance has become crappier and more expensive to our employers to and to us every year, soaking up an increasingly large percentage of total compensation. At the rate I just described, by 2070, everyone will spend 100% of their income for medical care. Is that sustainable? I think not.
