Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) has received a formal censure from his home states Republican Party for what they say is his insufficiently conservative record, according to a report from the Associated Press. The measure was approved by a voice-vote after gaining signatures from at least 20 percent of state committee members.
Immigration reform and the Affordable Care Act were among the issues associated with liberal Democrats that the party criticized McCain for supporting. We would gladly embrace Sen. McCain if he stood behind us and represented us, Timothy Schwartz, the Legislative District 30 Republican chairman who helped write the resolution, said.
McCain has clashed with the tea party wing of the Republican Party over the last year, most notably when he referred to Senators Rand Paul (R-KY), Ted Cruz (R-TX) and others as wacko birds last spring.

It’s about freaking time we call these RINOS to the mat. If McCain wants to switch parties then the Arizona GOP should gladly open the door and let that fool out.
Manchurian McLame doesnt so much need a censure, as he needs a ball gag!
Only censure that matters comes from the voters.
That’s all, nothing else.
Agreed. Maybe too little too late but I certainly applaud this heartily.
Yep, his reaction to this action was probably a sarcastic.."My friends"...followed by laughter at this futile gesture by those marginalized little people...
(...then he proceeded to pry yet another chicken carcass from Meghan's mouth)
(...silly Meghan, you're suppose to remove the pro-gay marriage tape gag BEFORE you stuff your pie-hole...not after)
“My friends...”
GYAAAHHHHHH, I hate these people!
Especially THAT ONE!
This is WHY we need to repeal the 17th Amendment.

Woo hoo!! And the first 27% is in!! Thank you all very much!! |
McCain switch parties? Would love to see the expression on his face if he does and his democratic allies turn on him and kick his ass out in a primary.
Oh, no! Were those signatures sternly signed?
Let’s see if he’s re-elected next time.
censure?
how about horse whipping the sorry bastard?
Censured for being too liberal....like the rest of the RINO party. What a joke. Hello kettle...
True, but it may affect his decision whether to run or not in 2016. As a Republican, at least, not that he’s ever actually been one. But, expect him to run as an “Independent” or a D.
If so, may this out-of-stater respectfully suggest that, in fashion similar to Arizona, they consider proposing the censure of Mister Lindsey Graham?
.
And of course we all remember how they came out in support of JD Hayworth, Sarah Palin included. Right?
You’ll appreciate this ping...
This bunch had to be dragged by their armpit hairs to do this.
“...insufficiently conservative record,..”
Understatement of the century...
Instead of censoring McCain, if the GOP in Arizona was serious about getting these traitors out of the Party, they would have booted him out of the GOP!
This censor was a diversion to provide cover for the ROP RINO’s that need to get reelected. They will run as a conservative candidate and once reelected, they will become the walk across the isle and kiss a socialist arse “compromiser” again after fooling the American people into voting for them once again!
Kick these socialist out of the GOP and let us take back our Nation and put government back under the limitations of the US Constitution for which these elected officials all have sworn and oath to support and defend!!!!!
