We should be able to get rid of bad teachers but how to we get rid of bad students?

Wish I had had the guts to do that when I was in high school!

Well, I like the idea behind it. One of the leaders said that if the case was won, it would cause the California Legislature to take action.

Anyone guess what that gets us? It will be crafted to leave us in the same position we are today, or more likely worse.

At best that would push the real fax back another decade.

Tenure should be outlawed everywhere.

"...but how to we get rid of bad students?"

Write them up and eventually expel them. It's often done.

Better yet, outlaw adultery and no-fault divorce, then the worst kinds of students will be seldom seen again.

A number of colleges are eliminating tenure and replacing it with relatively short term renewable contracts with a performance review before renewal. It is a start.

This should have happened 40 years ago when I spent 2 years in San Jose schools due to my father's work. It must be really bad now.

” These kids must be must be recent transplants from Flyover Land... “

No offense intended but maybe you just happen to drink the
“Every single Californian is a flaming libtard” Kool-Aid nonsense.
We may be a distinct minority but there are still more conservative
Californians than their are total voters in many states.
