Hello—stay safe out there! Roads were getting bad when I was driving to work.
I hope my morning is not a harbinger for things to come. My side garage door froze shut and my car would barely start. Did manage to get it going, and it seems ok, but I’m a little worried about this afternoon when it’s supposed to go down to 12 degrees.
Hope no one loses power today.
I usually leave my house between 5-5:15 AM. Wind was howling & I could feel it moving the car - was glad it was still above freezing, as the roads were wet & I was hoping not to find black ice.
Its going to be brutal the next couple of days - so please do what you can to be safe. I have been having trouble finding rock salt/calcium chloride, but thankfully, the neighbor two doors down plowed our driveway with his little lawn mower tractor - Hubby has shoveled his mom’s walk (she lives right next door), so he was being nice, which is great - my Hubby had two surgeries on his torn rotator cuff & both failed...I can only shovel so much myself. Anyway -please all be safe.
You be safe too PenguinM! Not looking forward to the next two days! I’m looking out my office window and it’s snowing and wind blowing like crazy! Co-worker called in. She had double knee replacement surgery last spring and fall and doesn’t want to tempt fate. I don’t blame her!
