>> Especially for the elderly

Of course — that may explain a possible agenda behind the report.

I have “full spectrum lights” for both my art work and alleged health benefits.

They work great for art.

The other, I’m not so sure.

They have kept the “winter crazies” to a minimum.

I’m very much an outdoor person and being trapped inside for the winter is almost more than I can bear.

As a weird factoid, rats get D3 by licking their fur.

The cholesterol in their skin secretions is converted to D3.

Maybe we should all sit around and lick our arms.

:)

I ram lots of D3 down hubby’s throat.

He doesn’t seem very grateful.

;D

Don’t wanna OD on it and I have no way of calculating what the sun is giving me so it seemed prudent.

And back atcha!

Oh and the one good side effect MS seems to have is a supercharged Immune system. Since I got MS in 1988 or something I have had no flu's, colds, or any other maladies that seem to affect the "normal" person. Cuts and scraps do not get infected seemingly ever. My wife was one of those who gets all of those things and was amazed I never got any of them... even when I was around those who had it.

Terrible way to get unnatural immunity though. MS really $ucks.

Go to the grocery store and pick it up in the spice aisle.

$4 will get you a huge amount and you won’t be paying $10+ just for the cheap gel caps health food stores put it in.

Toss a bit on top of whatever you’re eating and that’s it.

It tastes a bit funky, sort of woodsy/pungent but it’s what gives mustard its color and is in Indian curry mixes.

This is gross but easy to remember;

You’re “taking enough” if you blow your nose and it’s bright yellow.

LOL

It is known for being great for any lung ailment because it has a tendency to “go to” the lung tissue.

Some dog food companies have started to include it in their feed formulas, it’s so wonderful.

[much easier than getting them to eat the powder, for sure]

How weird!

One of the many reasons for my user name is my freakish immune system.

I have the same ‘talents’ as you do, plus the ability to seemingly regrow ‘parts’.

I’ve had thumb tips cut off, an entire top of an ankle, bone included and several other ordinarily severely scarring injuries that, if you put a gun to my head, I could not show you where they were ever at.

I have never had a single stitch for any of that nor did any of them get infected, in spite of my slipshod application of antibiotic creams.

Mom had moles removed and took a month to heal up.

I had one removed and not even 4 days went by.

Hubby gets a cold and is on his death bed for 10 days.
I ‘catch it’ and cough 1 hour, sneeze 2 hours, feel lousy for another 4 hours and then I’m done.

Really irritates him.

Freaky.

LOL

Hubby chronically gnaws his knuckles.

I wonder about him....

When I ask him if he’s doing it again, he always stops and asks “Why? Ya want some”?

*gag*

snort... Before I started taking D3, my Irish-ancestry skin turned lobster-red after 15 minutes in the garden, and I live at the top of the ID Panhandle (for over 5years now). A vampire burns slower than I did. Now, I am out all day, in a cut-off tank and a pair shorts, digging away all day without any burning.

Never has flu shot. I know what is in them. No way, ever. Same goes for my daughter and my grandsons. They had a day of flu last week. The rest of their friends who are part of the flu shot-kool-aid crowd, all were down for over two weeks.

If vitamins don’t work...why do doctors prescribe Occuvite to patients? It is a vitamin supplement that helps with vision.

You can bet they are going after D3 because of its benefits

ditto that, especially as the spectre of another pandemic flu continues to slouch toward modern history

check out curcumin, the best formulas contain bioperine (pepper)

I take this and give it to my kids at first sign immune system is battling something (cold, fever)

I read about this from a pandemic preparation
website published by an MD

We also do daily Vitamin D3 and keep Resveratrol, zinc, and NAC on hand along with the Curcumin to take at first sign of a cold or infection. No one has had a full blown cold for more than 1 day in past 3 years
