Give the surplus back to Wisconsin taxpayers (Scott Walker)
jsonline.com ^ | Scott Walker

The state of our state is strong and improving every day. The economy is dramatically better, and our finances are in great shape. Still, there is more work to be done.

Thankfully, the days of double-digit tax increases, billion-dollar deficits and major job loss are gone. We replaced them with massive tax cuts, growing budget surpluses and significant job growth. Wisconsin is going back to work.

We have some really great news about the economy and our fiscal situation. The nonpartisan Legislative Fiscal Bureau recently verified that the state will have $911 million more than previously projected. These new revenues are not a one-time windfall, or budget gimmick, but come from a strong economic recovery, in which more people are working, more employers are hiring and personal income is going up. They also come from good stewardship of the taxpayers' money.

What do you do with a surplus? Give it back to the people who earned it. It's your money.

He’s short, quiet-ish, and not charismatic. But some say he could lead our nation.

The LIV is an amazing creature. In a town in Massachusetts, West Springfield- not to be confused with the western part of the city of Springfield, a Republican was elected mayor; he cut taxes considerably and maintained city staff and services at the levels they were staffed and performed upon his election.
He lost his re-election bid to a tax and spend progressive.

At least 50% of the people are so shallow they’d make a sheet of note paper look as tall as the Grand Canyon. They admire a good, thick head of hair, a ready smile and gleaming eyes. Or, anybody with a skin color where voting for him will make them feel less guilty about being white.

Short, uncharismatic people need not apply.

All those drum beating, capital grungies as occupiers look like the fools and the foolish behaviors they exhibited. Just look to their southern neighbor in Illinois to see what gross government incompetence looks like by their sacred dems.

All of us IN Wisconsin who worked our hearts out for Gov. Walker for election, recall, and now again, KNOW that NO ONE from the RNC helped him OR us for even 5 seconds. The GOP in DC do not like Tea Party types, nearly let us die on the vine, but we pulled it off against millions of $$$ from the nation unionistas demonstrating and trashing our beautiful capital building, etc.

The conservatives need to step up and put someone like Walker on the 2016 ticket. What do you all think? You think Karl Marx Rove and company like Walker? ARGH. So disgusting.

My biggest fear is the guy never completed his degree at Marquette University and I can see the liberal media establishment labeling him as stupid or lazy. Aside form that, he's navigated victory after victory in a very purple state. He withstood a recall election and still stands tall.

I like him. Not sure how he'd handle foreign policy and perhaps he needs another four years as governor before trying to run for President.....but shi....shoot, look at the guy we got now, he has not clue how to handle foreign policy either and has been at it for five years.

I look at it as a plus. Lots of people have done well without degrees.... he didn’t need academic stamp to show his competency.

I completely agree, but once you get to the national level, they look under all the sheets to make sure you fit their mold. Walker doesn't.

But damn, his Act 10 was pure genius.
