Latin King leader wants to conceal and carry
Chicago Sun-Times ^ | 27 jan 2014 | Frank Main

Cook County Sheriff’s officials say they’ve filed an objection to a gang leader’s state application to carry a concealed firearm — and they’re opposing hundreds of other applications, too.

The high-ranking Latin Kings leader possesses a state firearm owner’s identification card, which allows him to own a gun. He got the card because he doesn’t have any felonies on his record, said authorities, who declined to name him.

Under the state’s concealed carry law that took effect this year, an individual must first have a firearm owner’s identification card to apply for a permit. Once an application is filed, local law enforcement agencies have 30 days to file objections with a state licensing board.

He may not have any “felonies” on his record just yet, wait until he gets a CCW and my guess he will “temp” that record and eventually, his “sheet” will get longer. When you’re “Dear Leader”, you let the little people do your dirty work, just ask odumbo.

In a city where many of the politicans are ‘former’ gang members this is news?

In 1968, Bobby Rush went AWOL from the Army and founded the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party. The Chicago BPP was full of gangsters. Rush would serve time in prison for an illegal weapons conviction.

When President Barack Obama was elected president, Rush wasted no time calling for a black man to be put in his Senate seat.

He’s a racist through and through.

Which is why this didn’t surprise me a bit:

Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Ill.) is highly critical of a proposal by Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) for mass arrests of 18,000 Gangster Disciples, telling the Sun-Times on Wednesday that Kirk’s approach is “headline grabbing” and an “upper-middle-class, elitist white boy solution to a problem he knows nothing about.”

If he doesn’t have any felonies he’s either enough of a clean cut guy or he’s smarter than the cops.

I say they either step up their investigation of alleged crimes or shut up. You can’t criminalize someone without a conviction.

Guys at his level don't pull the trigger anyways. They make a phone call on a disposable phone and somebody dies.

+1.

Otherwise, the state just labels people through the media, and than denies them their legal right.

spot on, that is what the lefties do. Anybody can be arrested for no particular reason other than to arrest them. Look at all the open carry guys getting arrested constantly without conviction.

I’d bet that ‘progressives’ are just aching to deny a carry permit to people who are branded as “high-ranking leaders of the Tea Party movement”.
