OK, why is a grown man watching the Grammys? Holy cow voluntarily watching this complete drek might be worse than the content of the actual Grammys. I hope for his sake he lost a bet or something. I mean I think I would rather watch WNBA or one of those Jewelry Shopping Channel shows for crying out loud.

Good points. I’ve always felt that there are so many tatoos that are outright evil that if someone just glanced at your Christian tatoo they really wouldn’t know if it was good or evil. Kind of like Christian rock if the music overpowers the lyrics then it just sounds like the secular version. I’ve thought about getting a tatoo but I wait about 5 seconds and the desire goes away.

I would hope my life expresses my faith in Jesus more than any tatoo.

Pretty much sums up my attitude. I was also attempting to anticipate how he might be attacked. That’s how this stuff works.

WWJD vis a vis tattoos? Don’t know,frankly.

Neither do I.

But I'm sure there are some that would give him their advice.

Good point. I was afraid of picking up something from the needles myself. Then there’s the pain. And the expense. And for women how the the thing will look on skin stretched from pregnancy and childbearing or when you’re 80 years old.
And some employers are still prejudiced about it.

Right now, the NCAA is holding an emergency meeting to figure out a way to put Alabama on probation over this

And Saban is having emergency meetings to figure a way to stop the Tide from Unrolling.

Having said that, I really admire McCarron.

Justin Bieber didn't attend because he was in a hotel room about to tip a plastic cup off the sink in a fit of unrestrained rock n’ roll rebellion, but then he remembered that he's not really a rocker and set the glass back down gently. Then a while he thought, “I WILL be a wildman!” After which he egged someone’s house and put a Johnson/Smith whoopie cushion under his manager's chair.

So, so true...

Pop music sounds like it was turned out by machine and not human beings. It is a dead sound, it all sounds alike.

Here is an interesting website about the music industry. You don’t have to believe everything that you read on it but it is intriging never the less.

Call it whatever, pop-rock, it is all bad. Rock has created the drugs-sex-godless culture in America. This is why half the country supports a pres like Obama. Tune in, turn on and drop out, and let the gov take care of you. It is a cancer in America that has us on a slow downward spiral since Bill Haley released Rock Around the Clock in 1956.

Rock is dead. Has been for a while now.

Day I found out:

I’m talking with my cousin, who’s about to go to Marine boot camp about music. He plays guitar and writes music.

I asked, because it wasn’t obvious by listening to the radio, what it is they were listening to nowadays? I explained that growing up we had a lot of choices, from pop to punk to metal to rockabilly to classic to grunge.

His reply:

“Led Zeppelin. Listen to a lot of that.”

“Led Zeppelin? What about bands from today - something in the same sort of groove as Zeppelin?”

He just looked at me.

“If I’m not listening to Zeppelin, it’s Boston, or Steely Dan, or Black Flag, or Public Image Limited.”

“Wait, nothing? You aren’t listening to anything recent? What about your friends? What did you listen to drinking out on a beach somewhere?”

“Where do you think I picked all that up? Old country music too. Some of the new stuff is good, but the old stuff was better.”

“Let me see your iPhone.”

Scrolled his iPhone - nothing more recent than 2002.

I was a little surprised. Every generation has their own poet.

Not this one.
