Police are investigating the beating of an openly gay journalist in Midtown Manhattan last week as a possible bias attack.
Now, a sketch has been released of the person police are looking for.
The hate crimes task force is investigating the attack on Randy Gener, is a Filipino-American editor, writer, and artist.
On January 17, he was attacked in Midtown, a block away from his apartment. He had just left a party around 4 a.m. and was on his way home near 54th and 7th Avenue—that is where he crossed paths with his attackers who beat him and left him for dead in the street. …

Awful crime. But how they know this is some gay thing is beyond me. I’m shocked that this could occur in midtown Manhattan - unless it was the knockout game. Truly bewildered.
very sad to hear of such violence. But why do they jump to the conclusion that it’s a “hate” crime against a homosexual, and not just a violent attack? We’re told not to jump to conclusions about knockout game attacks, bit in this case, we are being told that a conclusion was jumped to.

Knock-out game goes gay
Let’s see what the charges are for the perp if he’s caught. Probably will be a hate crime unlike all the other incidents where one race preys on another.

The only thing I can think of is that they staked out a gay bar in that location and then attacked. But, I also think it was probably some horrible, nonsensical crime that can happen to anyone at any time. I find the location disturbing - not a hotbed of crime.

People do leave parties at 4am. In my youth, I did. I suppose the victim was walking home. I always grabbed a cab to avoid danger. At that hour, sometimes a cabbie will take you two blocks for a bit of money...
Gays are often better off than average. It may be target of opportunity at a target-rich spot... kind of like lions staking out the water-holes. AA thugs aren't that particular in their hate that the law can calibrate the hate and therefore the punishment.
Maybe elite members of the press think gang members should hang around until the police and ambulance arrive...you know, just to be on the safe side... Anyone know how liberal elites think?
I had relatives that lived in a not so nice section of Park Hill Road in Yonkers. I hated going down there. Used to be an all Italian neighborhood many years ago and they were some of last old timers there. I so glad when they moved. We would always try to leave before dark.
We need much more info than this article is providing. Someone must have been with him because we have a police drawing. The victim was too out of it to provide one. Unless things have changed a lot, I don’t think this area houses a lot of gay bars, although, why knows? I’m just sickened at such a vicious attack.
It sounds like another chapter of attempted random murder of non-blacks by feral blacks, er, I mean, the "knockout game" to me.
