Having watched several promising campaigns collapse in 2012 after candidates made catastrophic mistakes, national Republican leaders are leaving nothing to chance as they prepare for this year’s midterm elections.

They’re summoning contenders—especially those who seem inexperienced, unpredictable or inclined to provocative opinions—to first-of-a-kind training at the GOP’s Senate campaign headquarters to learn, in part, what not to say and how not to say it. […]

Since the GOP’s disappointing 2012 showing, party attention has focused on the mistakes made. In addition to the Indiana and Missouri meltdowns and presidential nominee Mitt Romney’s defeat, campaign problems contributed to unforeseen Senate losses in North Dakota and Montana.

Conservative fundraisers like Karl Rove have vowed full-scale efforts to recruit better contenders and sidetrack problematic ones. …

LOL. Like the DemonRats don’t school their little fish.

Truth is, Demon Rats are so tied into the perverted leftist media, they could say all they want and it is never reported....or is reported as “good”.

We are descending as a culture; the demonic performances by Katy Perry and the sodomite rituals last night at the Grammys just go to show that fact.

They need to know how to respond to:
“Are you opposed to abortion in the cases of rape and incest”

“Are you opposed to ‘marriage equality’”

They should refrain from any comments regarding female parts or libidos.

Then why, Karl, are you letting McConnell target Sasse? This is BS. The establishment candidate lost in Wisconsin in part because he declined to support many of Walker’s actions.

I’ll bet real, folding money, TEA Party candidates won’t be included.

Rove has always been pro-choice, which makes it impossible for him to support any pro-life candidate, or even to understand why the issue matters to so much of electorate.

Bull Pucky.

That’s just one more case of letting the democrats pick and choose who can take part in the conversation.

There is an old Baseball analogy: “If the batter can’t hit a certain pitch, he can count on a steady diet of those pitches until he can.”

The GOPe isn’t this stupid. They are obviously playing to lose.

“Now, now...in order to reach those independent and undecided voters, you gotta outspend the Dems. And you can’t talk about abortion or gay marriage, that’s a big no-no.”

No all-in-all a good idea. Process improvement is based on learning from previous mistakes and not repeating them. What they teach them however...may leave some wondering where the focus is.

BTW get all the loonies out of the primaries before they provide another three ring circus. McCain and Huntsman come to mind. The multitude of candidates defeated the Republicans before the general election even began..

Yes. I think the GOPe has given up on the country and doesn’t want to be the party in charge when the house of cards falls.

I guess I’m in the minority here, but I think this effort is a good idea.

Republicans/conservatives have to run against Democrats AND the media/comedian complex. The media will magnify anything not stated exactly so and do so with the malicious intent of damaging Republican candidates. They do not do so with Democrats.

Unfortunately this is a conservative cross to bear, and conservatives need to be aware of how the media will completely twist and ridicule anything said.

Brainwashing lessons. How to stay firmly on the dem/gop plantation, especially if you are a libertarian, independent or tea party candidate.

The media will find or misconstrue or flat out lie about something that will disqualify any Republican candidate and most quickly any conservative.

When they pull needed campaign money away from pick-up seats to spend it on safe ones, it’s kind of a “Bear craps in the woods” moment.

Until women can reproduce with zero input from men, we have just as much right to speak on such issues as any women. The fact that they don’t mind gay pro aborts speaking proves that its just about shutting down the opposition. Its no different than the idiots who scream “RACISM” at the mention of border control.

Speak smart but speak without fear.
