You really want MY thought?
John McCain is God blessed by Sarah Palin's friendship, which exists despite his political faults and vast differences with hers, like she pointed out in her tribute to the Anniversary of the signing of 1973 the Paris Peace Accords.
What is her demented attachment to that guy?
Politics is the mother of strange bedfellows?
There we go Onyx.
Sarah can disagree with someone without becoming Nasty (even if it is McCain).
Which is more than I can say for many on this thread....
Most of these here attacking Sarah Palin were never, ever gonna vote for her anyways, for one reason or another.
I’d be shocked if this latest FB posting actually lost more than a handful of voters, because those who against her for this probably don’t like her voice, or where she went to school, or her daughter’s appearance on DWTS, or whatever other reason they have.
So even though I’m not a big McCain fan, I understand her feeling that loyalty is a virtue, and that’s just how she is.
I respect Sarah Palin, for some reason she will always be loyal to John McCain even though he has never really been loyal to her..I respect her decision but I will never respect John McCain, he trashes Conservatives and calls us whacko birds, he is a Liberal I guess that is all that can be said right now
I think with Sarah, she tries to find the good in everyone..that is what I like best about her..she thinks she owes McCain for bringing her to the National stage..I can respect her decision to be loyal to him, I dont have to agree with her but I respect her decision
This thread and her tribute to the signing of the accord is just an excuse for the many of the same old suspects to VENT.
You’re precisely right, sweet palin45potus.
I had the honor and pure delight of meeting Sarah Palin in person last December 7!
I’d be shocked to my very soul had she written off John McCain for some political disagreements short of another WBTS!
Gotta find something to disagree with a Real Conservative on.
Even though Sarah just said in her post that she disagrees with McCain on....everything.
So Vote for Christie, OR ELSE!
Your absolutely right..Sarah Palin has been through hell and back, she has every right to support whoever she wants..she is a great human being God bless her!!
I don’t know about being “loyal” to him, as much as she’s a friend to him. She points out a couple of her differences with him in this tribute.
I agree with you that she has always shown him much more respect than he has shown her, but that puts her in the much higher light and IMHO, in the much higher and stronger position.
Alright you Palin supporters, justify this piece of nonsense!
Yeah ... vote Christie and shut up, you whacko-birds!
Why shouldn’t she? Because she is suppose to be loyal to truth first!
Neither of them should be in any leadership position.
I think in a way because he helped bring her into the national stage, she feels maybe not loyalty, more like an obligation to him and that’s O.K..she can support and like whoever she pleases..I think that some people think that we have to agree with Sarah on every single person she supports, that is not the case, we can disagree with her support of McCain but I will always and i repeat will always support Sarah Palin..she is someone I admire greatly
Right. I’m right with you there. These days, I rarely agree with McCain.
I wish McCain would get some of his mother's "tenacity" in regards to Constitutional conservative values. I wish he were a Papa Grizzly for America's free enterprise system and our free market health care system. There is something wrong with McCain when he is so tone deaf on so many important issues.
BTW, DrO said that McCain’s mom was always a pistol and a very nice lady, when he first met her over 60 years ago. Very nice of Sarah Palin to mention her.
Well i can top that..I can’t stand McCain..he is a mega jerk and douche bag(k I feel better now lol) she must see something in him that I will never see :)
My turn: RETIRE! Get out of town!
Sarah is a very gracious person..she shows great respect for his Mom so that was really nice of her to do
Hahaha well Sarah did say in her post that she disagrees with the censure McCain got..I disagree, he deserves to get his ass kicked out of office..did he even ever apologize for calling us whacko birds..wait, I’m gonna go eat some birdseed since I’m apparently a bird lol
Yeah, well, I liked the censure he got!!!
On THAT, I disagree with Sarah Palin.
Yeah kick his ass to the curb..you see that is what makes us supporters unique..we don’t have to like or even support every decision or every opinion Sarah Palin has..she is her own person..and well, so are we :)
We’re expecting SNOW here in the morning, (MAYBE a whole inch or two)...lol. I’m going to bundle up and try to sleep so that I’ll get up in time to see the snow fall. Good night, God bless and keep you.
Snow..so lucky!! I’ve never seen snow..ever..just on TV so that’s not the same thing but yeah..never seen it so I’m envious..stay safe and God bless you too..stay warm and cozy..get one of those snuggies they always show on those infomercials..adorable and keeps you warm and toasty
McCain-Soros Toppled GOP Candidates Nov. 21, 2006

Reform Institute greatfully acknowleges Sen. McCain as past Chairman:

McCain is a Internationalist. How does that jive with National anything. His father was an honourable officer.
“I think she will run for McCains Senate seat when he retires and that is why she has a home in Arizona.
Quid Pro Quo.”
Although I should note, nobody short of George Washington will be able to turn this Ship of State around. And George could do it because he'd understand that it would take more than speeches and political arm twisting to implement the necessary corrections.
I noticed the relationship between Sarah and John during the 2008 campaign. It was almost a father daughter relationship. They had a great love and respect for each other. I think Sarah has not lost her feelings for John on a personal level. You can be of differing ideological convictions and still have a friendship. Just look and the friendship between Sean Hannity and Bob Beckel or the marriage between Mary Matalin and James Carville.
Perhaps, Sarah is looking at the bigger picture. It is the divide and conquer strategy that she sees ahead. She sees the Republicans in a huge fight to recapture the Senate and the Presidency ahead. To succeed, we all will have to work together. The Democrats will work to put Republicans on the defensive through polarization. We will be the party at war with women, against income equality, against the poor and unfair to illegal aliens. They will personalize the argument and use every Alynsky tactic in the playbook. And they will divide and conquer. If we do not wake up and smell the coffee, we will be toast.
I believe in the 2012 election, the State Owned Media discovered a new game plan. It is to promote infighting within the Republican Party. We need an antidote because there will be a similar competition among Republicans in 2016. I want a vigorous debate that takes a different tact than what we saw in 2012. Instead of attacking each other, our candidates should compete with each other on giving the best attack against the Democrat’s performance under Zer0. We need to turn the attack outward, and make the campaign a teaching process to the numb info-bots. The candidates cannot let the State-Owned Media goad them into attacking each other. This will whip up the base into an in-fighting that will be hard to fix when the dust settles after the primaries.
I worry that a Republican will emerge in the primary contest that will have no-holds-bared rhetoric directed towards fellow Republicans in a way that creates terrible consequences. We don’t want someone with such self-importance that they do not have the necessary self control. They would be just the type that would walk through the Republican field like a bull in a china shop. They will not be team players. The Left will hope they can plant such a candidate into the field that will be just the poison pill that infects the GOP with such disunity that it will be impossible to fix after the convention.
Nothing really needs to be said.
If we're honest with ourselves, this speaks volumes about Palin.
John started out as a schoolyard bully. He like to beat up the other boys. He was a major screw-up all through his formative years. He took his Naval Academy days as a lark. He took his flight training as a lark.
It is often thought he was an honorable man during his Naval Flight Officer years, and his POW years. About this, I do not know.
What I do know is that as soon as he returned home and entered politics, it didn't take him time at all to involve himself in criminal dealings. He was the largest receiver of cash and favors from Keating. Cranston had to resign for receiving much less cash. McCain skated.
He worked with the worst players the Left could loft to the highest offices in the land. He slandered the Conservatives amongst us.
It was in insult to this nation that McCain was chosen as our nominee. It was the sickest joke pulled on this nation since it's inception. This rat bastard has backed Obama's play more often than not. He is the reason we supported rebels in Libya, and facilitated them getting the shoulder fired SAMS.
Now these weapons are loose in the Middle-East and are certain to be spread elsewhere.
You can't do John McCain justice in just a few words. Pick a subject and he's betrayed us on it.
Anyone who wants my vote, needs to express an understanding of who and what John McCain is, and has been for his entire life.
“I think her comments are unfortunate. Nothing really needs to be said. If we’re honest with ourselves, this speaks volumes about Palin.”
I’ll say this as an ardent Palin supporter. While I am 100% behind her on most issues, and am far from ready to throw her under the bus, this was flat stupid on her part. I have no idea why she continues to side with this guy but she is wrong to do so.
We are far beyond political loyalty issues here. McCain is what he is and we all know what he is...because his actions have proven what he is. She is not helping her country here by finding needles in haystacks to support him.
I agree Norm. There’s no need to go overboard, but there’s just too much out there for her not to have an inkling of what this guy is.
His comments about Conservatives alone, should cause anyone to have second thoughts about him.
All I have ever advocated concerning Palin, is that we judge her in the same manner we judge other candidates for our presidential nominee.
If we do, then that’s all anyone should ask.
How would you judge any of our other candidates if they swooned over McCain? I like Cruz a great deal, but if he started talking up McCain, it would raise a huge red flag for me.
Why do I say this?
I say this because anyone who champions a person like McCain is dead certain to use him as one of their elite advisers. Look at his advice to Obama re: Libya and Syria. The guy is freakin’ toxic.
I think we are going to have a defining moment fairly soon. I said on another thread that IMO, McCain will defect to the Dems if Lindsay and Mitch get primaried out of office. He will cite the ‘extremists’ taking over the GOP and claim that he is doing do to help save America from the Fringe right by helping to restore balance.
WHEN this happens, Palin will have a choice to make. And I hope for all our sakes she chooses wisely. Because supporters like myself will also have to choose wisely depending on how she goes. Not a choice I want to be put in the position of having to make. but I’ll make it with a clean conscience.
That’s true, but Palin giving him boosts isn’t helping either. She’s better off bolstering TP candidates, not washed-up traitors like McCain.
This is strange.
There is no occasion I know of that would prompt such statements.
I can think of only one thing in recent history. Moronic daughter Meghan stated in the press sometime in the latter half of 2013 I believe that her father was “depressed” and concerned about the future of his party, the GOP.
It may be that McCain is either ready to slip off the deep end with a clinically observed mental illness OR he is getting ready to defect to the democrats which he is ideologically tied to or both.
And Sarah is trying to save him from himself?
Sorry, but I refuse to be caught up in the cult of personality for anybody...even Palin. This support for McCain was just flat out dumb on her part. Fine, if she feels loyalty of some sort or another for McCain, refrain from being openly critical of him...that is indeed enough!
To those who just can’t seem to understand the disappoint that many of us here on FR feel for Palin’s open support of McCain, consider the following:
First, John McCain is nothing but a back-stabbing RINO, who runs as a conservative, but sides with the Dems on almost every issue. Let’s also not forget this POS signature legislation McCain-Feingold. You remember, that funny little law that took away other Americans right to free speech!
Secondly, we were told during the last couple of election cycles that Sarah’s support for candidates was key to them winning because many valued what her thoughts were.
Okay then, do we really want Sarah helping a back-stabbing, Amnesty loving, RINO in gaining favor with the public?
Sorry, this was a stupid move by Sarah. You Betcha!
1.) IIRC, this is the first time Governor Palin has staked out her differences with Senator McCain. In past writings, she's only spoken about their common beliefs.
2.) She's trying to keep everyone's eye on the target, President Obama. There's nothing to be gained by ostracizing McCain at this time, especially if he's attacking the Administration's Benghazi debacle.
Yes, on the first point, I think so -- can't remember her specifying amnesty, ANWR, and "any Congressional action that allows Obama to incur more U.S. Debt" as being among her differences with McCain, but I could be wrong.
One might also note that further up, she credits McCain for having carried part of our message of opposition to todays fundamental transformation of America directly to the problem: President Obama and Harry Reids far left agenda. (emphasis mine)
On the second point, maybe Palin is just practicing what she preaches, We live in a time of diminishing virtues because of societal influence towards total self-centeredness. If she was self-centered, she'd treat McCain like a political liability she should avoid for her own political interests. She's not, so she doesn't. She's loyal and she's playing for conservatism to win, not "not lose."
Spoken like good solid common sense.
Yet some of the same folks who would never brook Palin, would accuse me of being a "purist" for rejecting Christie/Romney Uniparty Republicans, who are wrong about 99% of the time! So ironic.
I think this is Sarah’s first indication of her intent to run for President in 2016.
Sarah, you don’t owe him anything more.
