Obama to lay out go-it-alone approach in big speech (Announcement of his coup-d'etat)

President Barack Obama will lay out a strategy for getting around a divided Congress and boosting middle-class prosperity on Tuesday in a State of the Union speech that reflects some scaled-back legislative ambitions after a difficult year.

Obama will make clear in his 9 p.m. EST address that he is willing to bypass U.S. lawmakers and go it alone in some areas by announcing a series of executive actions that do not require congressional approval.

White House officials said Obama will announce new executive actions on retirement security and job training to help middle-class workers expand economic opportunity.

"In this year of action, the president will seek out as many opportunities as possible to work with Congress in a bipartisan way. But when American jobs and livelihoods depend on getting something done, he will not wait for Congress," Obama senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer said in an email to supporters sketching out the themes of the speech.

With three years left in office, Obama has effectively reduced for now his ambitions for grand legislative actions.

No.

Liberal republicans do more damage to the nation than the democrats do.

You want to win elections, run conservatives or lose.

You say purist like it’s a bad thing. It’s bad to reject the amnesty loving, homosexual tolerating, healthcare overhauling Democrat lights at the GOPe?

We’re heading toward destruction regardless of who is chosen for us to vote for. GOPe or Democrats, both parties are taking us down the road to socialism. The only difference is that one party is driving a little faster. I’d rather my young children see their mother fighting for what is right, instead of them having to fight this battle in the future.

Since we’re name calling now, I dub you the Socialist Enabler.

For AA:

Keep doing the same thing and expect different results?

We can't unelect Obama this coming November.

Have you noticed nearly half of the Tea Partiers we send to DC go wobbly or rino?

I'm convinced the structure of the DC government is the fundamental problem. For a hundred years, separation of powers have been diluted to the point it no longer exists. Congress sort of sets policy while the courts, Obama and his bureaucrats make the law. The existing arrangement prods otherwise good people to do bad things to our country.

The system of the framers was designed to prompt less than virtuous people to do the right thing. We can return to that and more if we stop obsessing with national elections and divert a large portion of our attention toward real solutions . . . before it is too late.

Mmmmmmmm.....looks like Boobamba's SOTU won't be mentioning Obamacare.

WHO CAN BLAME HIM? Boobamba's prolly scared stiff of lock-stepping Dems' maniacal applause, rising to their fight as one (like they had firecrackers under their a**es).

Heck, as far back as 2008, at the presidential debate in Nashville, Democrat candidate Obama advanced his signature plan that was ultimately enacted (by an historic straight Democrat party-line vote) into the "Affordable Care Act :

OBAMA: "No. 1, let me just repeat, if you’ve got a health care plan that you like, you can keep it. All I’m going to do is help you to lower the premiums on it. You’ll still have your choice of doctor.”

Repeated over and over ---- with the promise that every American family would be saving $2500.00 on healthcare costs.

LOCK-STEPPING PARTY LOYALTY NOT SEEN SINCE 1930-40's ERA EUROPE Obama And The Dumbos marched in lockstep. The persistent Dumbocrat drumbeat ---- in obeisance to Obama ---- kept ringing reassuringly in our ears: "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan."

=================================

SIGNING "THE BIG EFFIN' DEAL" (now known as "THE BIG EFFIN' DEBACLE")

"Those Democrats leering over my shoulder owe me bigtime. This
healthcare bill insures we have a permanent Democratic majority."

" All except those Tea Party types, swallowed hook, line and sinker my promises that they could:
(1) keep their existing health plans,
(2) keep their own doctors that they like,
(3) keep their 25-year-olds on the family health plan,
(4) never be denied coverage for a pre-existing condition,
(5) sign up instantly on my tech-savvy government Web site,
(6) buy insurance only after becoming seriously ill."
(7) save $2,500 in annual premiums in the bargain....
(8) All without any new taxes."

"Them sonovagun Tea Partiers will rue the day they criticized my wonderful bill."

============================================

Golly, I hope when she writes his SOTU speech, Valerie
omits references to Obamacare. Or-----disaster looms.

"And let me thank every Democrat, who---without exception
---voted for Obamacare---my historic signature legislation."

"Thank you Democrats for reminding every American in every
district: 'if they like their plan, they can keep their plan.' Nice work Democrats."

GOP = Junior partner in the uniparty. The last time the GOP gave a rip about our freedoms and the health of our republic was during the Reagan years.

I think they are blackmailed. Look at what John Roberts did. He was blackmailed.

Obama is Law-Less because Republicans are BALL-LESS!!

Elections alone will not help them grow. Nor will merely complaining about it at FR.

Imagine that?——Michele is going to sit in the gallery to applaud his stupid remarks.

I want to know what he bribed that “*itch” with to get her to attend——after her world class snit over a blonde at the Mandela Memorial.

My guesses: she gets new diamonds, a posh home in the Vineyard, trips abroad, 10-12 new staff to complement her current retinue of 24 gofers.

Also Valerie’s setting up a Michele PAC-—siphoning off govt money to finance Michele’s political ambitions.

Hussein will stand in front of the House and Senate and tell'em both to "shove it." All drama Obama.

Nikolai Ceaucescu would be proud (cackle).

A few years ago I would have written your comment off as tinfoil.

The rats have demonstrated the willingness to use every possible governmental agency to suppress their enemies.

It isn't far from the realm of possibility that with their ongoing coup’ de etat, the rats will never again lose a presidential election.

....he's clearly shown his disdain for the Constitution, calling it a flawed document containing only negative liberties. That is to say, liberties given to the people instead of the government......

Nice take.

Republicans ought to either not attend or walk out of the SOTU the moment Obama says he’ll usurp their legislative powers. There ought to be consequences for a president advocating criminal activities.

You STILL believe, even after all that has happened, that they oppose him?

That is exactly what he is going to do, then announce his executive actions, and all his minions will take action to enforce them. Welcome to the brownshirt nation.

The appropriate action for republicans/tea party and those of American courage is to get up and either turn their back on the President or over the course of the SOTU, trickle out one by one and slam the door behind them.

With this speech, the government in DC by 0bama’s own actions, is not the government of the United States. With these actions, we no longer maintain any sort of representative government.

Honestly...I’d like to see the Marine’s that “protect him” arrest him immediately following the speech. Along with all of his cabal...

I was planning on that. I will also go to Mark Levin on line and listen. He usually does a mystery science threater 3000 style running commentary for the SOTU.

Levin's running commentary make Barry's speeches worth bothering with, but Levin will be off the air just as Barry goes on. Sigh.

Nothing will change in this country until people lose so much that they are compelled to picket and march and go out into the streets. It’s that simple. We truly are like the frog in the pot. The changes have been insidious, and so far nothing has been dramatic enough to lull us out of our collective complacency. The bottom line, it’s going to get much worse before it gets better.
