Why Pro-Amnesty Republicans Are So Desperate To Pass Immigration Reform This Year
Townhall ^ | 1/28/14 | John Hawkins

The most intriguing question about the latest GOP push on immigration is one that no one seems to be asking: Why does the Republican Party seem so determined to push immigration reform this year?

At first glance, it makes no sense whatsoever.

After all, because of Obamacare the electoral landscape is so tilted towards the GOP that it looks likely we'll add seats in the House and take the Senate back. With the filibuster as good as dead, why wouldn't Republicans want to write a tough immigration bill on their terms in 2015 and force Obama to either sign on to it or veto a bill that the public supports?

Furthermore, Obama is illegally giving out work permits, refusing to deport most captured illegals and he has illegitimately created a DREAM ACT by fiat. This is a man who has made absolutely clear that he has no intention of enforcing immigration law; so how do you make any kind of deal that relies on his implementing even tougher rules?

Because they make more personal fortune being on the minority side and making side deals. Being in the majority is too much work, not enough pay.

Winner winner chicken dinner. The GOP doesn’t really want to oppose the rampaging marxists. What they want most of all is a deal with a nice a juicy cut of the pie. They were happy to cut vet retirement pay and use those DOD dollars for new appropriations for their big donors.

That is flat out corruption since naturally some of that money will be kicked back to the GOP appropriators in campaign/lobbyist donations.

The Senate has still not submitted the Gang of 8 bill to the House. Reid knows it will be sent back blue-slipped for revision because it violates the origination clause. No immigration bill should come out of the House because it will be paired with the Gang of 8 bill in conference.

Money, money, money, money.

Its clear now how the Great American Experiment will die, and we know the names of those who finally killed it.

Those demographics have the GOP freaked out.

Then maybe they should have spoken out for the past 15, 20 years, demanded the borders be closed and illegals deported. Instead they pandered to businesses that wanted cheap labor. Now there are tens of millions of new Democrat voters here, and more being born or flooding across the borders all the time. And the GOP is freaking out? What did they THINK would happen?

Well, they don't call them the Stupid Party for nothing.

Our little primary voters are just not informed enough to take charge and remove the failure.

At the top of the list of those who killed the American people will be the uninformed Republican primary voters who produce the Boehners, the McCs, the Grahams, the Lamar!s.

If the middle class doesn’t stand up America is finished

They're too uninformed to stand up, and millions see everything as rosy.

The one that puzzles me more than these RINO Republican’s push for immigration reform is Paul Ryan’s budget that cut Veteran’s retirement benefits.

What in the world did the Republican Party hope to gain by pushing every Veteran in this country out of the Republican Party and into Independent/unaffiliated?

Me thinks this be a trial balloon to see if the GOPe and Dems can get away with cutting Social Security and Medicare in the future. If the Vets do not howl too much over being screwed, the old folks should be easy. Both parties are complicit together in a power and wealth grab.

The GOPe and the corrupt fascist Government Motors type corporations keep discriminating against America and want to show they are not greedy and racist by making friends with poor Obama and illegals.

The Rinos want a Rino vote, slimey Chrispy Cream with Romney sauce style. Get illegals the preference over conservatives and they can act like they are not racist while protecting their family ties of scumbags.

The way it is going like this, America will soon hand itself over to Mexicans. Even NYC has no more liberal talk radio but hispanic channels instead.

What happens if 11 mllion illegals get citizenship status? Well, for the majority of red states, it won’t make a bit of difference. It won’t change the electoral balance being that most of the illegals will be in heavily blue states.

Really, this is about one and one thing only. The rats are trying to turn Texas blue.

Indeed. But it will not merely turn blue, it will turn green white and red mexican.

The country is so divided in asserting idiot fools in power to retract from the competent that the terrorists are promoted instead.

"What happens if 11 mllion illegals get citizenship status"

There is at minimum 3 times that number in the US.

Here's the kicker.

Hispanics ALREADY "don't like" the GOP. At BEST they "might" get 40% of the vote.

Now figure ILLEGALS, who are automatically going to vote for welfare and free $hit, and the GOP isn't going to win ANYTHING higher than 20%.

The stupidity is mind boggling.

Don't the GOP congressmembers LIKE at least being in congress?

If this passes, they won't be.
