Get Ready To See Michelle Obama's Face Plastered All Over Your Local Subway Sandwich Shop
Tea Party Command Center Blog ^ | January 23, 2014 | Linda Hahn

If you thought you could simply enjoy your Subway sandwich without partisan politics, you thought wrong. Michelle Obama’s face is about to invade every one of their restaurants.

The first lady was expected to announce Thursday that the Subway sandwich chain will spend $41 million over three years to encourage finicky young eaters to eat more food that comes out of the ground or grows on trees. The announcement was being made at a Subway shop near the White House.

Subway will only offer a kids’ menu that mirrors federal standards for school lunches. That includes offering apples on the side and low-fat or nonfat plain milk or water as a default beverage. First off, who wants to have the First Lady’s face all over advertisements of a sub shop anyway? Regardless of whether it’s Michelle Obama, Laura or Barbara Bush, it’s a cheesy and questionable advertising strategy in that it is painfully obvious that it will cause at least some level of controversy.

They have been getting slammed on FB. The rats are doing their best to tell um “good job!” but I doubt they will actually deliver sales.

Me, I’m going to Jimmy Johns.

Personally, I haven’t ruled out the Big Brother appellation of her just yet.

I’ll never see it because I’ll never go in one. Subway is Starbucks to me.

That is not real. But in the times we find ourselves in, I can see why you would ask!

I really don’t see this happening. Whether it’s Laura Bush or the Wookie, putting a First Lady in advertising is just plain stupid.

It will pi$$ off half the customers.

I stopped eating at Subway a long time ago because I think he’s obnoxious. It’s rare a spokesman can make me so revolted I won’t patronize an establishment. Even Alec Baldwin didn’t drive me away from Capital One.

There’s certainly no shortage of places to chow down in America.

As I said upthread, if Subway was publicly traded I’d recommend buying puts.

If I see her face, I’ll contact customer service saying

Ugh. Are you aware that an awful lot of Subway franchises are owned and controlled by Islamists?

The one near my work has dark complected workers, but I'm not able to distinguish Pakistani from Indian. I stopped going when I felt the veggies didn't look as fresh as I would prefer.

Is the head of Subway some hardcore Democrat who thinks the whole country loves Michelle?

Well, Subway is based in the Democratic People's republic of Connecticut.

Democrats - They can't produce, they can't abide by the laws they pass, they can't obey the Constitution, but they know what's best for everyone.

All the food at Subway is processed and tastes like cardboard without
all the other junk piled on top. It's fake meat, Fake cheese,
and now a Fake Cow is promoting the chain. Perfect.
