Not gonna happen, but if Congress were at all responsible they would.
Americans need to be reminded that this will make everything very expensive for them. Especially heating their homes.
We need a 3rd party in this country ASAP. We are living under a one party system where one party does anything it wants completely unopposed. We have the Democrat party and the Democrat lite party which has put us on the high speed lane to tyranny.

Anything based on “climate change” is executive fiat for raising taxes, of course.
IMO, that means that to help those who have NOT prepared for retirement, they will take $$$ from those who HAVE prepared for retirement and force “sharing.”

If Rand Paul or Ted Cruz ever becomes prez, I hope the first thing he does is resceind ALL GW’s and BO’s EO’s and SS’s. And vow to not use them any more.
As far as climate change is concerned, this would most likely happen through EPA regulations. But the EPA is ultimately answerable to Congress, right? Or are we in a brave new world in which orders come down from on high, EPA decides to fight global warming by hamstringing power plants, for example?? And then the GOP in Congress will be impotent to do anything about such regulation?

Probably a new tax/fee on 401ks in the private sector to prop up failed pensions on the public sector.
It means you don’t have to worry about Social Security any more because you’ll have to work two part-time jobs for the rest of your life to pay your rent.
