The college environment is actively hostile towards men, psychologist and author Dr. Helen Smith explained in a Tuesday interview with Forbes.
Smith has authored the book Men on Strike: Why Men Are Boycotting Marriage, Fatherhood, and The American Dream And Why It Matters, and discussed the effect that overreaching feminism has on men with reporter Jerry Bowyer.
Bower stated that groups who see themselves as oppressed since the 19th century have blazed past a goal of equality to exact comeuppance on their oppressors, and American men bear the brunt of this attack. Smith agreed, recalling how she was taken aback by the modern feminist movements animosity toward men.
I thought feminism was supposed to be about equality, Smith said. I was somewhat of a feminist, or I was very much a feminist when I was younger, because I had this idea naively that it was about equality, that we wanted to see men and women as equals. Instead, women today want special privileges and no responsibilities or very little, and they want men to have the responsibilities but none of the privilege. As you point out, theres the problem.
In her book, Smith referrs to colleges, where female enrollment rates rise as males drop, as hostile places to the average guy.
Theres so many women at the University of Vermont, they call the place Girlington as opposed to Burlington, Smith said....

College, in my day, as a great place to get your MRS
Now, not so much.
They never knocked God the Father off the throne.
American men need a lesson in God again. God has that figurative hairy chest. He isn’t the Breck Girl of unfortunate portrayals of Jesus. (And anyhow, Jesus toughed out the cross. Try that without losing it and cussing out your captors.)
UT-Austin apparently has “white privilege” week and teaching there is no such thing as reverse racism.
Shockingly, a black female teaching this
The feminists never wanted equality. A white Christian heterosexual conservative male is now seen by feminists as the enemy.

bonjour you cesm’s!
well we do eat hell’s cheese then surrender to it, all too often. and often we call that being courageous! agh, heaven never got outclassed by hell. we just got timid, real timid, about heaven.
If I were wealthy enough I would endow an all male college....no government grants or handouts traded for control.
she’s pandering to men
no, men don’t want marriage today because they want all the sex they want
When I asked my SIL what women really wanted she answered: "To run everything. And shoes." Men, take your cue!
Males are simply indispensable and any society that actively seeks to repress their special abilities will find itself on the scrap heap of history.
On the other hand, any society that represses the special nature and abilities of women is doomed to madness. (see the Middle East)
Males, white males in particular, have created the modern world and all its wonders.
Men are driven to create in a way that women are not. Without that drive we would all be living in grass huts.
I am certainly not saying that men are better than women... I am just stating the obvious here. The facts cannot be rationally disputed.
And if they did get to run everything they’d forthwith find it rather disappointing.
Deep Springs College
Thanks. Deep Springs sounds like a pretty neat place.
Colleges foster environments actively hostile toward:
So happens I'm a female with a father, two brothers (no sisters), two grandfathers, nine uncles and numerous male cousins, yet I never thought I was unequal to them because I was a girl.
The feminists, IMO, have insulted and denigrated the many good men of this world. They have brought havoc on families. Parents and children have paid the price, along with the economy.
Mostly, men see fatherhood as having to grow up, with babies and children forcing them to give up some of the money for their toys.
Men who do agree to marry, are not about to assume the role of breadwinner as in the past but see a wife in terms of a roommate with sex.
Many young and not so young men, don't wish to give up their extended self-focused childhood, so both marriage but more importantly committed parenthood, don't figure in their future.
I'm not saying that I blame them for this attitude as I think it has been hoisted on them, first when wives were able to get divorced for trivial reasons, separating men from both their children and their fortune, with no say in either; later on, single moms rearing boys without a father in the home to teach boys how to become men, such mothers were overly indulgent with their sons and actually jealous of any females in their lives.
These mothers, living without an adult male in the home or a succession of "boyfriends" in and out of the home, became used to thinking of "sonny boy" as the "man of the house," pampering and spoiling these young males to think that all women were there to care for them.
A black lady I once knew complained about her friends who were raising boys without a husband in the home, saying that these women "were raising boys and studs, not men and the world was going to be the worse for it."
That was about 25 years ago and she has been proven correct!
No the men wanting to poke everything that passes their sight have ruined it all
That’s simply not the case. Its the fact that marriage has become too risky with the rise of feminist indoctrination. No matter how hard a man tries and how devoted he is, she can wake up on any given day and decide she wants out.
She doesn’t have to even give a reason.
And at that moment, the man is subjected to a legal nuclear attack of child abuse allegations, domestic violence allegations, loss of an astounding amount of financial resources, and ruinous child support terms. He will be subjected to a system designed to alienate him from his children.
He has no control of this, defense from it, and is at the mercy of the female as to which of these weapons she decides to use.
This is why men avoid marriage or find foreign women.
Having raised my three children in Southern California, my bride and I were fully aware of this fact.
So we carefully researched those colleges inside and outside the state where traditional values reign and, to a degree, traditional roles.
Most of the California colleges were excluded, as was any college east of the Mississippi and north of the Mason-Dixon Line.
But three colleges in Texas stood out: Baylor, TCU, and SMU. Two in the Carolinas: Elon and Furman.
One college in California: Pepperdine
You can find the right university for your child but look carefully. Don’t believe anything you read in the official university publications.
You are exactly right; too many men know someone first-hand who has been screwed by the legal system (losing everything in a divorce), and the risks are simply too much for them. Some men cautiously wade into marriage when their girlfriend is past child-bearing years; alimony may be a non-issue and they don’t have to worry about some other guy living with their children. Some foreign women are from cultures where divorce is frowned upon; their offspring will inherit the Earth.
“And if they did get to run everything theyd forthwith find it rather disappointing.”
You’re right; the professional women I know don’t seem too happy. They have money, but no family; while they raise dogs/cats they are subsidizing the raising of other people’s children through their income taxes.
You are right and there has been a lot of false flag hypocrisy in the feminist movement. Lets remember that Gloria Steinem getting older got married to a man for security.
Child support is by formula
There is something in the wiring of men’s brains that says $300 a month is enough.
And yes, it is month after month. So when these smart alecks want to ask whether they should limit their income in order to limit their child support, I say “Absolutely not”, make as much money as you possibly can and benefit your child and yourself. The child support will top out, but the money you can make doesn’t.
I have a degree in Electrical Engineering, a so called “STEM” degree. It is real hard to work politics into a circuit theory course. If you major in “STEM” you will keep the politics to a minimum.
Yeah, today's liberal arts colleges encourage women to get the LUG -- that's "Lesbian Until Graduation."
Yeah, but even most technical departments require as part of your electives a course in ecology, environment, or related BS — all serving as part of modern-day indoctrination.
Yeah, I believe you’re right.
Though I can’t figure out why anyone would want to.
STEM majors do have to take those electives its true. Mostly though for a STEM major going to those non technical classes is a small little daily vacation to the other side of campus with the hot girls and everyone looks de-stressed.
I'll ignore your exaggeration. Though I am not a man, I've been around long enough to realize it's in a man's nature to find some woman sexually attractive. In more subtle ways, women have the same traits. Most women enjoy attracting the attention of some men.
You make it sound like all men are perverts. The great majority of men I know are fine, honorable people. I don't know what your experiences have been but you sound like you are bitter.
Why should it be any different from the workplace? Or popular media? Or the Demagogic Party?
Your issue with child support?
I assume this was to me not 2DV.
My biggest issue with child support is the laws are written such that its a entitlement to the Mother, (technically the custodian) and not the child with the mother a trustee.
I recall decades ago SSI for surviving children and my Mom had to document how she spend the $$$ for my sister, but child support laws are written such that it can be spent on anything they want (legal uses obviously) without question.
The paying father might complain to a judge that the $$$ went buy gifts for her new boyfriend and the judge will tell him its none of his business.
Yet the moral argument defending it (ala Judge Judy) is that its going to the kids.
Spending years being a divorce lawyer will do that. Lighten up, yldstrk.
Worse, they'd probably blame their disappointment on the Patriarchy and the Republican "War on Women."
I believe you’re right sick - but for the wrong reason. More later...
