Good idea. Put them both in the same bill and let Obozo sign it or veto it.

.... Gee ..... I’m no expert .... but wouldn’t the raising of minimum wage also demand a wage hike to union and other skilled jobs which are tied to a percentage above the minimum wage ...... thus creating a domino effect of increases in pricing, cost of living, inflation and other issues thus negating any ground made by increasing minimum wage. Wouldn’t it just create a vicious never ending circle/cycle.

She was young enough to be his granddaughter. A few weeks after he paid off millions in a sexual harrassment settlement, he was trying to sell one of his children’s books on his show. He’s a real dirtbag.

He is a populist.

That's exactly what he is. Nothing more.

What would really freak the democrats out is if the GOP skipped past $10, and came out strongly in favor of a $12 minimum wage.

O’Reilly is not conservative. He is a populist.

I see him more as a straddle-the-fence opportunist.

Same here. I usually catch him by chance....usually channel surfing. Last night I couldn’t find Finding Bigfoot, Bizarre Foods was a rerun, and nothing that caught my eye on my favorite channel, The Military Channel. So....I tuned into the Factor last night for a few minutes and BOR was doing his crazy rant on how the GOP needs to wise up and raise the minimum wage. FNC has some high quality folks, people like Meghan Kelly, Brett Baier, Britt Hume, George Will, Chris Wallace, even some reasonable Democrats like Evan Bayh. BOR is Ted Baxter on steroids.

I think the GOP should go whole hog and put forth a bill stating that the minimum wage should be exactly what the president’s salary is. See how many dems support it.

I don't watch this a-hole but if I were to go along with his premise a mandatory reduction or cap on HIS salary can AND should be mandated. His salary is what drives up the cost of Porsches, Audis, homes etc.

Now THAT would make items cheaper for the proletariat

My argument would be “it is overwhelmingly, abundantly clear that eventually you guys are going to cave on this anyway. So let’s just get it over with now instead of letting the MSM bludgeon us about the heads and ankles for the next six months while we pretend to feign outrage”.

A very unsatisfying piece of Realpolitik, to be sure.

A couple of months ago Sara Palin came on his show. She tries to stay off because of his talking down to people. But for months he was saying she was scared to come on his show because he would ask her “the hard questions”. Well she had enough of being called scared so she decided to go on his show. Instead of him being the loudmouth he normally is and talking over her he “oohed and ahhed and blushed his way through the interview. He looked like an idiot. I guess he actually thought Sarah Palin would flirt with him. What an ass. I got nauseated watching the him. He had a big grin on his face the entire time he was talking to her. Really disgusting.

I agree. Raise it.

Then sit back and watch the economy collapse even faster.

Let the Dems own it
