Mitt Romney Is the 2016 Republican Frontrunner (NH)
National Journal ^ | 1-30-14 | Matt Vasilogambros

Posted on 01/30/2014 11:31:11 AM PST by RKBA Democrat

Mitt Romney leads the Republican field among New Hampshire primary voters for 2016. Yes, you read that right.

Why not make it a third run for president? That's something that the former Republican nominee is definitely not thinking about right now. To put it in his own recent words: "Oh, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no. No, no, no."

But that didn't stop the Virginia-based bipartisan policy firm Purple Strategies from adding his name to a recent survey for Granite State voters, which shows Romney in the lead with 25 percent support. Libertarian firebrand Rand Paul (who has strong infrastructure in New Hampshire) and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie are behind with 18 percent and 17 percent support, respectively.

We might be experiencing Mittmentum 3.0. The Netflix documentary about his 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns was recently released to the excitement of political insiders everywhere. GOP insiders want him to come back: "You know what a lot of them say to me?" an anonymous "operative" told BuzzFeed. "I think we need Mitt back." Romney was even on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to slow jam the news.

So are we sure he's not running again? "People are always gracious and say, 'Oh, you should run again,' " he said in an interview earlier this month. "I'm not running again."

He's done this kind of race before. He's got the staff. He's got the loyalty. He has the money. Time has passed.

Is there a chance? "I think that Chris Christie and Paul Ryan and Jeb Bush and Scott Walker, and the list goes on, have a much better chance of doing that," he said in the same interview, "and so I will support one of them as they become the nominee."

Maybe, maybe not.

How about a fellow named Scott Walker. He’s proven he can take a state in debt and turn it into a state with a surplus.

I was on this yesterday.

As soon as Christie starts hanging onto the wheelwell of the bus, they drag out this spoile.

He’s got his stupid movie ready to go, goes on Fallon, Rush is hawking him, ‘oh if we had only seen this Mitt without all that campaign silliness’, then, with perfect timing, he says he already has a response for Candy Crowley. THat was yesterday. A mere year and a half after Benghazi, which if we want to think back that far, to the horrific ushering in of this president Romney displayed, was the subject of the Crowley deal.

GOP will never allow a conservative or even a patriot in there.

Romney pushed everyone out of the way and ushered in this. He’s getting ready to do the same for whatever criminal they want to put in there next, but it won’t be this conservative hating liberal GOP poseur.

Don’t be fooled.

GOP insiders want him to come back

The real wacko bird wing of the party. They also want to legalize millions of illegal Democrats.

He's got his own issues with Amnesty.

He’s not a filthy commie, but if he’s really gonna be their frontrunner in the majority of the states, I am begging the GOP to show some dignity and concede 2016 and save themselves and non liberals the public humiliation. Romney trying to stop Hillary Clinton would literally be too painful and degrading to even watch.

It would be awesome if they could find a woman to contend against Hillary. Democrats are now at the level of the World’s Greatest magic performers when it comes to playing race, gender and class cards, which is why I am having a hard time putting faith in any upper class white male to win it for the GOP and why I think any male running against Hillary is gonna have serious problems.

PURPLE is what you get when you blend RED WITH BLUE. This is a progressive Log Cabin company wanting a BLUE republican progressive to run again... and no one is more blue than mitt... he is ted kennedy junior.

I agree, the worst thing that could happened to us....... did happen! obama happened because he fooled his voters and he so disgusted many on our side that they stayed home.

Staying home and being/feeling perfect was the worst thing they could do but they are still defending their non action.

I have seen data that indicates that Walker is very Second Amendment unfriendly.

I’m still remembering that the Mitt wouldn’t even pledge to repeal Kenyan care if he got the chance. He’s just using up perfectly good oxygen now.

Sorry... romney claimed that he won is Iowa and then had to admit a week later that he lost... damage done to Santorum... then they worked with the SoS of two states to keep Newt and Santorum off the ballots in the next two primary states... then mitt attacked newt in Florida like he never went after obama... no... mitt cheated his way with the help of preibus and rove. You dog will not hunt.

There’s also this

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/01/29/Poll-Sarah-Palin-Has-Highest-Favorability-Rating-Among-GOP-Primary-Voters

“According to Public Policy Polling:
The best liked person we tested on this poll with Republican primary voters is actually Sarah Palin who has a 70/20 favorability rating. She’s followed by Huckabee at 64/18, Ryan at 58/18, Paul at 58/21, Bush at 56/18, Cruz at 45/20, and Christie at 40/38. Most of those numbers are similar to what they were a month ago but Christie’s seen a substantial drop from +18 at 47/29 a month ago to his new +2 net favorability”

Both are lefty pollsters, but I’ve never even heard of “the Virginia-based bipartisan policy firm Purple Strategies”.

Don’t be played. The democrats know they are toast & they’re going to do their usual BS in the meantime.

(That said, imho, a President Romney would very likely have pushed hard for more gun control after Sandy Hook. As bad as 0bama is, I’m not sure we wouldn’t have been just about as bad off with Mitt. I’m just sayin’)

Ten bucks says that Princess Liawatha will be the Rat nominee in '16.Why? Because she's intelligent, articulate and far,*far* slimier than the Former Twelfth Lady ever dreamed of being.Remember...the Rat Party's true believers *always* go for the *lowest* of the low.I refer you to the current occupant of the Oval Office as proof. The Former Twelfth Lady,as filthy as she is,is Mother Teresa in comparison to either Osama Obama or Liawatha.
