Facing a $78 million budget shortfall, California’s ObamaCare exchange has spent $1.37 million to fund an outreach video featuring exercise guru Richard Simmons gyrating on the floor and hugging a contortionist who is kneeling with his buttocks in the air.

The “Tell a Friend — Get Covered” campaign by Covered California features other celebrities Olivia Wilde, comic Billy Eirchner, Fran Drescher and Tatyana Ali. The centerpiece of the effort was an eight-hour live web stream that ran on Jan. 16.

None of the celebrities were paid for their work, Covered California said.

Whoever has stupid, expensive ideas such as this should be fired. This is why no one respects government any more.

That was the oddest video. Besides the prancing and mincing homos, the woman kept chanting get covered or some such. It was just weird and it cost $1.37 million, obviously went to friends of Odinga.

Well that was certainly odd but they did have four women instead of the three woman in the Richard Simmons video. I wish I could do the moves the guy did, backflips and so on. What exactly was there to tie the dancers to the volt besides the e for electricity...

Foxnews comments were great. Cringe-inducing, too funny.

Although it looks more like a "Saturday Night Live" skit, the dance routine that was performed on the Volt display at the Los Angeles Auto Show is all too real. Captured by a visitor who uploaded the video to YouTube, three females wearing puffy shirts and the aforementioned break dancer, who also plays air guitar, shake just about everything on their bodies for the duration of the song. Often out of sync. Reportedly, the cringe-inducing interpretation of an electric-powered future took place every hour during the ten days of the show.
