A REPRINT THAT'S VIRAL NOW

The Democrats are right, there are two Americas.

The America that works, and the America that doesn’t. The America that contributes, and the America that doesn’t.

It’s not the haves and the have nots, it’s the dos and the don’ts. Some people do their duty as Americans, to obey the law and support themselves and contribute to society, and others don’t.

That’s the divide in America.

It’s not about income inequality, it’s about civic irresponsibility. It’s about a political party that preaches hatred, greed and victimization in order to win elective office. It’s about a political party that loves power more than it loves its country.

That’s not invective, that’s truth.

And it’s about time someone said it.

The politics of envy was on proud display last week as the president said he would pledge the rest of his term to fighting “income inequality.” He notes that some people make more than other people, that some people have higher incomes than others, and he says that’s not just.

It was the rationale of thievery.

The other guy has it, you want it, Obama will take it for you.

Vote Democrat.

It is the electoral philosophy that gave us Detroit. It is the electoral philosophy that is destroying America.

And it conceals a fundamental deviation from American values and common sense. It ends up not being a benefit to the people who support it, but a betrayal. The Democrats have not empowered their followers, they have enslaved them – in a culture of dependence and entitlement, of victimhood and anger instead of ability and hope.

The president’s premise – that you reduce income inequality by debasing the successful – seeks to ignore and cheat the law of choices and consequences. It seeks to deny the successful the consequences of their choices and spare the unsuccessful the consequences of their choices.

Because, by and large, the variability in society is a result of different choices leading to different consequences. Those who choose wisely and responsibility have a far greater likelihood of success, while those who choose foolishly and irresponsibly have a far greater likelihood of failure.

And success and failure can manifest themselves in personal and family income.

You choose to drop out of high school or to skip college and you are apt to have a different outcome than someone who gets a diploma and pushes on with purposeful education. You have your children out of wedlock and life is apt to take one course, you have them in wedlock and life is apt to take another course.

Most often in life our destination is determined by the course we take.

My doctor, for example, makes far more than I do. There is significant income inequality between us. Our lives have had an inequality of outcome. But, our lives also have had an inequality of effort. Whereas my doctor went to college and then gave the flower of his young adulthood to medical school and residency, I got a job in a restaurant. He made a choice, I made a choice. And our choices led us to different outcomes.

His outcome pays a lot better than mine.

Does that mean he cheated and Barack Obama needs to take away his wealth?

No, it means we are both free men.

And in a free society, free choices will lead to different outcomes.

It is not inequality Barack Obama will take away, it is freedom.

The freedom to succeed, and the freedom to fail. And there is no true option for success if there is no true option for failure.

The pursuit of happiness means a whole lot less when you face the punitive hand of government if your pursuit brings you more happiness than the other guy.

Even if the other guy sat on his arse and did nothing.

Even if the other guy made a lifetime’s worth of asinine and shortsighted decisions.

Barack Obama and the Democrats preach equality of outcome as a right, while completely ignoring inequality of effort. The simple Law of the Harvest – as ye sow, so shall ye reap – is sometimes applied as, “The harder you work, the more you get.”

The progressive movement would turn that upside down.

Those who achieve are to be punished as enemies of society and those who fail are to be rewarded as wards of society. Entitlement has replaced effort as the key to upward mobility in American society.

Or at least it has if Barack Obama gets his way.

He seeks a lowest common denominator society in which the government besieges the successful and productive and fosters equality through mediocrity.

He and his party speak of two Americas.

And their grip on power is based on using the votes of one to sap the productivity of the other.

America is not divided by the differences in our outcomes, it is divided by the differences in our efforts. And by the false philosophy that says one man’s success comes about unavoidably as the result of another man’s victimization.

What the president offered was not a solution, but a separatism. He fomented division and strife, he pitted one set of Americans against another.

For his own political benefit.

That’s what progressives offer. Marxist class warfare wrapped up with a bow.

Two Americas, coming closer each day to proving the truth to Lincoln’s maxim that a house divided against itself cannot stand.

Entitlements are a stasis building force, IMO. I do not know of anyone who has prospered - moved up - on entitlements.

Those that take the government handout and work (illegally, often in more than one sense) on the side make money, but they do not “move up”.

Reading along and agreeing with the author until I hit the bit about "obey the law". The "doers" by and large don't obey the law, because thanks to the left, obeying the law, especially if you are in business, is impossible (cf. the books Three Felonies a Day and One Nation Under Arrest which document this phenomenon).

It’s not the haves and the have nots, it’s the dos and the don’ts. Some people do their duty as Americans, to attempt to obey the law and support themselves and contribute to society, and others don’t.

It is impossible to keep all the laws on the books, as they overlap and are often contradictorial. The bulk of Federal rules and regulations are illegal.

Do and don’t includes those who vote.

Those who place their private views over the national well being and don’t vote are our present problem. Rather than make a hard decision between candidates, enough lazily rationalized they were so superior in their purity of thought they would stay home

Obma was elected to a second term

It is sad that those being exploited are incapable of seeing that they are being used, manipulated, exploited ... and distained as easy for the con artists of the political parties. The haughty little bastard boy lying daily to the world is but the pinnacle of the evil that is slavery, for he and his goons of government have enslaved too many to the dependency democrips use to empower themselves not their 'wards'.

The irony is that those who pull the strings of government powerful will collapse the economic system at some point in order to reset the slavery process using debt, leaving the wards, who are hated for their stupidity and dependency, to die in starvation and disease as 'the necessary detritus of population reduction'. Which of course is ironic since it proves in the end that those who were herded into dependency were hated most by those whom the enslaved trusted to feed and shelter them, to the empowerment of the masters not the enslaved.

Charles Darwin’s Theory of Evolution (often referred to as The Theory of Survival of the Fittest) describes the positive effects resulting from any “pressure” on an animal species that removes the least fit among the species and allows only the most fit of the species to reproduce. Many of us are well aware of this “Survival of the Fittest” theory, but few are aware that Darwin also makes mention of the negative effects resulting from unlimited reproduction of a species’ least fit when the weak, the lazy, and the stupid are left unchecked.

We like to think otherwise, but our species, Homo sapiens, isn’t that long “out of the trees” and the same laws of nature that affect all of God’s creatures apply equally to us. If we were to observe any other species that had been allowed to reproduce without limitations, we would know immediately what the consequences will be.

Whenever the weak; lazy; and stupid of a species are allowed to reproduce unimpeded by predators that feed off the weak; lazy; and stupid, they soon outnumber the strong, productive, and intelligent. When the weak/lazy/stupid dominate the gene pool, the entire population becomes weak/ lazy/stupid, and then the population collapses.

In the past, when these collapses occurred within human populations they have been referred to as a “Malthusian Collapse.” Thomas Malthus, a Nineteenth Century Economist, thought these collapses were caused simply because past civilizations had reached a point where human populations could no longer produce sufficient food supplies to feed themselves, but he never pinned down the exact reason for the food shortages.

We now think these collapses of past human civilizations have occurred whenever the unproductive weak/lazy/stupid greatly outnumber the strong/productive/intelligent of the population. In other words, the majority of the population becomes too lazy to perform the work necessary to provide for themselves and what’s left of the strong/productive/intelligent refuses to continue to do it for them.

These collapses have occurred at frequent intervals throughout human history, and Western Civilization is, in my humble opinion, currently on the cusp of one of these collapses.

Amen

The process is now clearly in effect in Europe. The inmigration from Africa is displacing the natural population.

War is the corrective mechanism. The question becomes will the traditional population go to war and oust the genetic corrupters?

I would agree except that our economic system is based in debt accumulation through the euphemistically named ‘federal’ reserve. The truth of how our money supply is created indentures US to private banking powers. In turn these same powers control the economies of most nations and all Western nations. Whne the indenture reaches a level that we the people realize is impossible for our grandchildren to repay, we the people would very likely take that power away from the private ‘federal’ reserve and rest it with the elected government. To prevent that, wars with economic collapses have been orchestrated with regularity for the past two hundred years. The Republic that ushered in Hilter is a good case study. The current arrangement is however aligned to collapse the economic system without using external war but rather starvation, disease, and managed chaos, to end the we the people Republic and usher in a greater dependency of the survivors upon the globalists. Little barry bastard boy was placed in office to work out the Cloward Piven strategy FOR THE GLOBALIST power brokers.

great article... great read.

America is in deep deep trouble. I happen to know there are hard working people out there, as I am, as most of us Freepers are. Give another look at the youtube “And God made a farmer”, to the wonderful voice of Paul Harvey. That sums up the American spirit, IMO.

What I do know, is that the culture has changed. At this juncture it’s now: And Obamao made punk, and Obama made a lazy ass, and Obama made a coveter, and Obama made a thug, and Obama made a victim.

Most of the music is crap, most the television is crap, most the novels I read are crap, so much so that I can’t finish them. Most movies are crap, sports are filled with screaming punks, talking trash, not a gentleman or role model to be found among them, (almost).

The 60s started it and on into the 70s. We had a nice bit going in the 80s with R.Reagon. But then the 90s started the long slide down for this country.

I listen to the young men, who are around me here at work and they sound like infants... 12 year olds... stupid, dumb guys who recite the latest one liners.. Good lord at that age I was every bit as inquisitive as I am now.. searching for meaning, trying to live the right way and yearning to learn more and more and more, and acting on it...

I found conservatism, in 1995 thanks to Dennis Prager and Rush Limbuagh.

Sigh...Many of my Christian friends say: “I’m not worried, because I know how this ends”... good thought , that.

“Rather than make a hard decision between candidates, enough lazily rationalized they were so superior in their purity of thought they would stay home.”

As one of those people who unwisely showed up to vote the last election cycle: phooey.

The game is rigged. The uniparty controls which if any parties or candidates can access the ballot. The uniparty controls how the elections are run. The uniparty controls who gets to vote. And when all that is said and done, the uniparty counts the votes. The ballot box is closed to actual conservatives. If you’re waiting for change via the ballot, you’ll be waiting for a looooong time.

I know that I have better things to do with my day than vote. The problem is I’m a voting addict. I’m working on shaking my addiction One Election At A Time.

A good rant, but it places blame solely on one wing of the uniparty. The gop wing of the uniparty is just as complicit in bringing about progressivism.

A plurality of Americans have generally conservative and/or libertarian views. And we have close to zero political representation. That’s the hard truth of the matter.

There is a cleansing coming.

It will be Old Testament in scope and nature.

It will (for a few generations, anyway) put an end to this silliness.

Unfortunately, it will also put an end to many decent, hard-working, productive people.

As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of Man
There are only four things certain since Social Progress began.
That the Dog returns to his Vomit and the Sow returns to her Mire,
And the burnt Fool's bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the Fire;

And that after this is accomplished, and the brave new world begins
When all men are paid for existing and no man must pay for his sins,
As surely as Water will wet us, as surely as Fire will burn,
The Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return!
