You’re absolutely right. I’m not into football...so never even thought of it.

Well, if you think about it, look at the crew we’ve been lofting to lead us. Cristie would not be out of the running.

I think a lot of Lefties would be temped to vote for Christie over the other double wide who has gotten a free ride for nearly 40 years.

Yes, he did pull the same routine McCain did. And guess what, he’s gotten the same results. Too bad Boehner and the rest of the GOPe crew can’t glean anything meaningful from all this.

I think there’s reason behind your comments, so don’t get me wrong. I know where you’re coming from.

I’ve said this many times: If you’re a high-level assistant to a CEO or other very visible leader (public or private), you don’t make a move without being 100% certain your boss would approve, even if he doesn’t know about or OK every single action. This is why it makes little difference whether Christie actually “knew” about the bridge deal, because his top-level aides acted as they did knowing it was what he would have done, and would approve of.

The top executive sets the climate.

"The letter, sent from Mr. Wildstein’s lawyer, Alan Zegas, is to the Port Authority’s general counsel, contesting the agency’s decision over the legal fees. But it is clearly meant as a threat to the governor. Indeed, the allegations make up just one paragraph in a two-page letter that otherwise focuses on Mr. Wildstein’s demand that his legal fees be paid and that he be indemnified."

"Mr. Zegas did not respond to requests to discuss the letter, which also consisted of a strong defense of Mr. Wildstein against negative comments Mr. Christie made about him during the news conference. “Mr. Wildstein contests the accuracy of various statements that the governor made about him, and he can prove the inaccuracy of some,” the letter added."

Hmmmmmmm. The Port Authority said it wouldn't foot Wildstein's legal fees. Wildstein's lawyer wants to make sure he gets paid -- questionable if Mr. Wildstein ends up in the hoosegow. On the basis of his lawyer's statement that, "he can prove the inaccuracy of some", we should all be ready to crown Hillary as Queen in January 2017?

Even I knew there was a colossal traffic jam on the GW bridge. It was designed in 1927. There is always a traffic jam on the GW bridge.

In a letter released by his lawyer, the official, David Wildstein, a high school friend of Mr. Christie’s who was appointed with the governor’s blessing at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey

So how many high school and college friends of Christie's are in high places? There's around 9 million people in New Jersey, so it stands to reason that a few of Christie's friends would be floating around in "upper management".

Traffic is bad in NYC but the tolls are unreal. $15 to cross a bridge. The fruits of liberalism on display.

Evidence? I think it’s clear that not many care if there’s evidence or not.

My only interest in Christie is as an indicator of how flawed the R party leadership is. To see how the R party leadership fawns over him despite his having weakened Romney’s Presidential run in the final weeks should have erased his influence in the R party. Instead, the R party championed him in the past few months.
As for the “scandal”—didn’t the previous NJ governor basically loot a part of the country? Didn’t another NJ governor have staff misbehavior dwarfing Christie’s alledged misbehavior?
Really, if the R party can’t have a member even twitch without having its own members destroy him, while the D party can basically engage in jaw-dropping bizarre and horrible behavior every day without consequence, then the R party is hopelessly in need of leadership and a news service.

I'm waiting for the NY Slimes to run a headline about obama knowing that Benghazi was a terrorist attack before he lied to the nation about it.

Awww, maybe Krispy can get his good buddy Obama to fly in for a photo op.

Just another movement of the media to taint the Republican brand for Hitlery’s coronation.

If only Zero and the DemonRats got this kind of attention for knowing people would lose their plans and doctors. I’m not excusing Christie at all. He knew and the Repubs who ran knew that he knew. Christie is going to have to answer some wrongful-death lawsuits over this caper.

I don’t care for Christie, BUT I don’t like to see the media fry anyone when they let the liar-in-chief off. His lies have caused more damage and devastation than anything Christie or whomever, could cause.

I want the worst among them to be stopped before they hit on anyone else. We have Benghazi, IRS, the economy, the housing collapse, illegal immigration, energy .... all that negates the bridge in importance.

If it’s ok to lie to the public, destroy the constitution and destroy families, then it’s ok to close a bridge.

The person to worry about is Christie’s senior advisor who was fired. She was bluntly and publicly called names by her former boss. Not too smart on the part of the guv. She’ll have a lot to say to the investigators and will probably show them e-mails detailing all kinds of things.

Play their game this one time…it serves our purpose…they’ll rue the day they took Christie out…..

Why?

When 2016 rolls around Christie will be long forgotten. The likes of evil Rove will be pushing RINO after RINO down the low-info RINO voters....

He was f—ked when the NSA gave the NY Slimes copies of his emails and telephone conversations months ago. Like Petraeus the Progressives had this set up in advance and waited for the most opportune time to divulge it to distract from His Arrogance’s multitude of current failures.

Christie thought his ole high school buddy would just take the fall.

Buddy found a hotshot lawyer and decides he isn’t the only one going under the bus.

It was the thuggish culture.
