Bill Whitaker: Wendy Davis imbroglio isn’t going to solve our state’s problems (she's got grit)

**SNIP**

One conclusion from the peanut gallery: Anyone trying to dissect marriages gone bad, decent people going off in different directions and the vicious spin applied to even basic marital facts is going to find many accounts don’t neatly add up. It would take a book the size of “War and Peace” to do justice to all parties in some failed marriages. That seems possibly the case with Sen. Davis’ early life, impressive as it is.

For instance, debate has ensued about whether she was really a single teenage mom or not. Some accounts suggest she got divorced from her first husband at age 19, though the Morning News says this divorce didn’t actually happen till she was 21. The campaign acknowledges this but points out she and her first husband nonetheless separated when she was 19, that she filed for a divorce at 20 and that she finally got her divorce at 21.

So is she a teenage mom or not? Could well depend on your definition of “teenage” and “separation” — or it could just depend on your political bias.

Executive Summary. It doesn’t matter that Abortion Barbie is a gold-digging bitch who abandoned her children for her career. There are hungry people and women who need abortions. Abortion Barbie is just the person to help them.

Surely there aren’t enough people that dumb living and voting here to put her into office……..

What I've heard is that she barely won her election. Knowing her, I'd bet there was some voter fraud involved.

The problem I have with Abbott, who I will vote for in the March 4 primary, is his passitivity. He won’t think he has a serious opponent, and this woman Davis has much stealth support among the growing liberal pool in TX.

Lots of lipstick for this pig. The apologists are lost in the weeds again. “Grit” doesn’t replace brains. Killing babies won’t solve everything for Texas or the one issue wonder.

If the support for infanticide, and lies about her biography aren’t bad enough, according to her bio she was a Republican at the start of her career - a very progressive one I would assume. Gotta love those politicians that wake up one day and decide that bigger more intrusive government is better! I can understand the lunacy of the left’s promises infecting the youth and those forced to endure public school, but rational adults should know better.

I live in DFW and never heard of her until the infamous filibuster for death. I can’t wait to see the photo ops of her out hunting to show she supports the 2nd Amendment. And of course the obligatory visit to an urban church to demonstrate she is a woman of faith and principle.

Well, good luck in getting him to stoke up the conservatives.

It was OK for pResident Trayvon to have Jack Ryan's sealed divorce records made public to clear the field for him to become Illinois' Senator.

This doesn't even involve unsealing sealed records. Seems like fair game to me, if Ryan's divorce records were fair game.

**********

She won in 2008 with 49.91% and in 2012 with 51.12%.

Yeah, and never mind that it was the Dallas-Morning News that broke the story...not the Abbott campaign.
