All the king’s horses and all the king’s men will never put Chris Christie together again if New Jersey’s governor fails to refute the accusation that he knew of the George Washington Bridge lane closures as they were taking place.
In that event, Christie’s governorship is over and he should prepare to face a federal criminal probe as a private citizen. Resignation would be a must. Otherwise, impeachment would be a snap.
Christie stands on the brink of ruin thanks to David Wildstein, the high school pal who, as his Port Authority enforcer, ordered the closures that plunged Fort Lee into four days of gridlock.
Wildstein’s lawyer on Friday released a letter that paints Christie as one of the most bold-faced liars in modern political history. And Christie’s response, amounting to one great big dodge, did nothing to dispel the notion.

I never believed this was JUST about pay back against a Dem mayor who wouldn’t support Christie. Not saying there wasn’t some spite involved. But it’s always seemed to me to be more about $$$$$.
I think when all the facts come out...this story is going to be a classic corruption case. Christie and the NJ Dems are, IMO, corrupt individuals who need to be held accountable.

The overplaying of this issue is making me sympathetic to Christie....only in that it is the standard playbook to discredit anyone on the Republican side. There are boilerplate tactics. The new ‘contradiction’ this week keeps it in the news another couple weeks. I was a Christie fan when he started and soured on him greatly the past three years. He’s as good as it gets in NJ, but I have no interest in him entering national politics. That said, this is getting into the zone where we have to fight back here to point out the tactics...they do it again to whoever’s next on the list. Maybe Scott Walker, maybe Cruz. Our side’s potential leaders get knocked off in a variety of sleazy coordinated attacks like this. Part of me has enjoyed Christie suffering here because he thought he was playing up to the left to curry favor...and they are taking him out just like anyone else. The other side realizes there will be another attack just like this in the next 12 months and want to cut out these take-downs.
I could care less about Christie, one way or the other!!! But......I am overjoyed the Obamabot media is spending so much time on him....and, also that Wendy Davis nutcase....down Texas way!!! The media attempt to divert attention form failed POTUS Obama is totally wasted!!! One....they are not going to succeed in bringing Christie down....and, if they did...no one cares a hoot. and....they are not going to save Wendy Davis from her lies!!!
However....the Obamabot media is trying to provide cover for Obama....except it will not work!!! Obama, himself is now a true “Lame Duck’ POTUS. He is toast......and, he will bring large sections of the Democrat Party down with him, come November, 2014!!!! The Christie deal is a waste of time!!!

I was once taken to court by none other than “conservative” Jesse lee Peterson radio talk show host..small time...for some harmless emails of disagreements I had about the control he wields over his congregation , and never was I even rude. He proceeded to perjur himself several times, attempting to paint me as a nut and possible killer. The oath he took meant zero to him, to tell the truth. Only his agenda mattered.

As I read his statement, he didn't say that he didn't know that there was a traffic jam on the George Washington Bridge, which it sounds like the media is trying to say he said. There is always a traffic jam on the George Washington Bridge, so it would be ridiculous for him to claim that. He said he didn't know that his staff arranged a traffic jam to punish the Fort Lee mayor -- which makes sense since he fired those responsible.

Odd coincidence. Wildstein's lawyer -- trying to get his legal fees paid for by the Port Authority -- includes something at the bottom of a letter that's not news, and it becomes headline news.
When the media creates a lot of smoke -- maybe there's something else behind the smoke?

The democrats would have merely advanced the indictment of McDonell and his wife up a few weeks.
